While I enjoy and appreciate Phonescoop's coverage of upcoming devices, I must admit that I stopped reading at "no 3.5mm headphones jack." It is for this very reason that I'm using a Galaxy S9 instead of an iPhone 7, 8, X, or Xs; I'm not paying such an exorbitant amount in order for Apple (or now Google) to arbitrarily render useless every audio peripheral that I own.

Google and other manufacturers must produce the hardware that fits their long-term plans, and if that doesn't include the 3.5 jack, well, so be it. That's perfectly within their rights.

I don't have to like it, but I don't have to buy it, either; there are just too many other options out there for me to compromise on such a personally important feature. So for now I'm st...

Editors Choice?

With these scores and the detailed review I would have thought this phone would have been an editors choice. What prevented this phone from becoming a stellar pick? I am looking to buy a new phone to replace my Moto G4 and really want a good camera and easy functionality. Essentially, I am looking for the best of Pixel 3XL and OnePlus 6T. Currently am leaning toward the Pixel because of the camera but the small amount of RAM is a concern.
