verizon release

I was told several times that today was the day. I figured since 4 different people told me, that it would be true, oh well. 😢 When I called today it seemed like they had no clue.

Use as modem on sprint

Can the PPC-6600 (Sprint) be used on a laptop as a modem to the Internet? Preferably with bluetooth but if not then with a cable.

If not, then I may fall back on the Treo 650 which (I'm assumming) can be connected to Internet with at least a cable like the Treo 600.

Voice Activation, AOL

Is it a fact that the 6600 does not have voice activation. Also, can I connect directly to AOL on the 6600?

Some basic questions..New to these

I am looking for a good PDA and phone in one. I am not looking for extra costs other than my basic phone package I have. I do not wish to add the high speed data service Verizon offers. In the past I have had headaches with Palm. We now have a new windows 2003 exchange server in the office. I wish to sync seamlessly with my desktop...NO ISSUES! I do not require my e-mails be updated outside the office. I just want my new e-mails and appointments to sync when I am in the office. It would be nice to reply to e-mails while out of the office and I can send them when I come back in the office and sync. All of the other features such as games, camera & MP3 is a bonus. Any comments from experienced users would be appreciated. Thanks ...

Looks kinda big...

I hate carrying around a brick in my pocket. Why do they make these things so dam big? I am waiting for the HTC Magician. I think that is the form factor of the future. Should fit perfectly in my pocket. I can live without Wi-Fi.

Voice Dial??

Any word on voice dial for this model? I have the V710 for VZW and the only thing I really like about the phone is the awesome "no training needed" voice dial capabilities. Very handy when you are driving all the time.

6600 & 6601 features / differences & vs Treo 650

This phone looks very interesting. I had planned on getting the Treo 650. Now I'm not sure.

What is the difference between the 6600 and the 6601?

Does either support grafiti-like handwriting recognition?

Does either include/support a stylus?

Can the 6600/6601 be operated with one-hand? (so you could locate a name and dial it without needing two hands)

Looks like a wireless keyboard, eg. bluetooth, should work.

How long / how much can you voice record on the 6600/6601 ?

I've been concerned about the reliability of Pocket PC as an operating system. I know people who have other Pocket PC-based phones who periodically have to "reboot" the phone. Is this version/implementation supposed to be better? Anyone have any issue...

RELEASED ON WEBSITE

the PPC-6601 (the camera-less version) is now available on the Sprint Business Page. Its product page is here:

http://www.sprint.com/business/products/phones/ppc66 ... »

it is now "released" to the public because it's linked to the main page of phones.

When will Verizon offer this Pocket PC

Looks like something I would buy based on the camera and bluetooth feature.

VZW version, bluetooth?

Now, what does everyone bet, will this be fully enabled bluetooth since it is a PDA or will verizon screw this one up like my 710?
