Danger Hiptop 2 / Sidekick II

If you have service already and get another Hiptop2/sidekick2 unit that has been used before, how do you override the previous user info?

Happy september fools day! Well at least t-mobile got me good! After much waiting and the ut-most hush hush on the release date of the sidekick 2, t -mobile accedently sent out an email to us sidekick users saying we could start the upgrade 1 week before the sidekick 2 will be released to the markets(starting yesterday 9-13). When I called the number, it is not in service, how rude 🙂. But none the less still happy that we now have a more percise date then "fall" and will hopefully soon have a sidekick 2 in the mail by mid this week provide t-mobile isn't pulling our leg again.

I just got mine and cant be any happier never had the 1st one. The closest thing i have to a sidekick is the Ngage, which i still like and use....BUT 😉 that might change the longer i play with my new toy...lol lol By the way i got it for $199.99 @

Hi all.. i am very new here =) I wanted to ask you guys some questions.

First, I plan to get the protection plan on the phone or whatever but i also plan to have it studded by NYC Peach Company. Will this infringe on my warrantee of the phone or of the service plan. And if my sidekick all of a sudden ****s the bed.. and needs to be replaced? I don't want to have wasted the 400 on the studding but that might just have to be the chance i take huh?

and also did many of you have problems when you fist bought it and then had to send it back to them? I'm not looking for a headache, I'm just looking for a fun phone that i can go on AIM and the Internet with and make all my calls and keep track of all my stuff.

Guy. I've had my sidekick for about three months. I LOVE IT. to death. altho recently my "3 line" button (upper left hand) has been sticky.. i really have to push it down hard for it to work.. a large inconveinance.. What should i do? bring it to tmobile? take it apart? let me know. thank you

Hi, I want to get a sidekick 2, but I have cingular. So is there anyway to unlock a sidekick 2 so i can use it with a different carrier?

from the menu screen.. clicl the "3 lines" (upper left hand corner button)..
select "settings"
go down to "about sidekick"
and now u should see copyright info..
now click and hold the "3 lines" button + shift + 8

then a snowbored game should come on..

to move the person press in on the scroll wheel.

u have to hold it down to determine how high u want to go up or release to show how low you wanna go down... any one need help.. jsut reply

Does anyone know if T-Mobile offers the PV-108, which allows 850 Mhz band access?

Hi, I got a couple of questions regarding the SK2. What is the home screen on the SK2? Can you have wallpapers? Is it user friendly? Does the screen slid thing seem to work well and can be pretty durable? The lights on the earpiece, what colors can those be? ANd how is the reception on this thing?Thanks!!! 😁

I had a lot of problems with this phone as follows: The camera has VERY poor quality as compared to other camera phones and for the price you pay for the Sidekick II, it's not worth it. Also, it FREEZES up ALL the time, I had to wait 5 minutes before making a call about 3 times per day. The internet browser has SHUT-OUTS where you can't connect because the towers are down, this happens ALL the time too and when you are paying for that service, IT SUCKS!!

The phone itself is WAY too big to put up to your hear, everyone around you thinks your holding up some chunk of plastic!

I got rid of this phone after havinmg it for 5 months...

Does anyone else have problems with the this phone's signal.

does anyone know if the sidekick 2 supports multiple recipient text messaging? if it does, how many people can I send a message to at a time?

What do you guys think about the two and which is better?

I'm getting the Sidekick II today and I just want to know if anyone knows if and how it syncs with a mac applications like address book, ical, mac mail?

any tricks to get around this? webmail doesn't seem to work on the browser - it gets some sort of java error.

i was all hyped about getting it.. til it got too annoying to call in the car.. it takes soo much effort to call someone and i cant have that. um... the phone's big enough to that it feels real bulky in ur back pocket, but then again, u dont want to scratch the screen, sop u'll keep it in your leather pouch and that put it in ur back pocket? nah that's too much trouble.. this phone is only good for one thing... text messaging.. the web browser? "fast as lighting" yea right... doesn't even work on like 90% of webpages

I was pondering purchasing the Sidekick II to mainly be used for text messaging, instant messaging, and email. I inadvertantly purchased the phone on one of the links in the "shop" section for this phone. I was just wondering if anyone had purchased a phone through Wirefly, or Inphonic I believe. It seems too good to be true, especially since they are giving it to me for $74 up front, and sending me 2 $50 rebates. That adds up to them paying me $25 for the phone. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a used phone or refurbished or something. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hey under the sidekick 2 on this site it says that this phone works with 850,900,1800,1900 but under my setting it was that it has been picked for 1900 so how do i change that?

Does anyone know of a way to transfer pictures from your PC to the sidekick?
