Transfer contacts

My contract is up with my current carrier (I have the RL-4920). I would like know how to move my 200+ contacts from this phone to the new phone on the new carrier.

I have not switched service yet and would appreciate any tips/advice on moving these contacts, as well as any "if only I'd known BEFORE I switched carriers" advice you could give.

Thanks,
Donna 😉

MA8512 handset manager

This is really a nice gadget! it is called MA8512 handset manager data management office, I test it on my girlfriend's 4920, it works and the features are awesome! We changed many different ringers with over 100 different instruments, and many wallpapers as well. Phonebook feature really surprised me! We can find a specific number (we have over 200 numbers saved) just by one click! One more special feature is, the cable charges the phone! Very high end technology, and the price is only 30 bucks. If you want to buy a data management (with software), this is 100% the right one for you to buy. Great/user friendly features/excellent price!

We just dumped our old futuredial cable and software! cost me over 60 bucks with limited functions!!!! :c...

Handset clarity

The only other Sanyo phones I've used (PM-8200 & MM-7400) have sounded really muffled, so I'm wondering how this phone compares.

lock/unlock sound

I love this phone except for the sound it makes when you lock and unlock the keypad. I can't figure out how to stop it unless I "Silence All" which isn't useful when I want to know when my phone rings.

Is there a way to turn off that sound only?

charging by data cable

I got this package not too long ago. It really surprised me! The cable charges my phone!!! Besides that, I can also manage phone data from pc, sync calendar, changing ringers and wallpapers...a lot of nice features! Just want to share it with you, and if you have a 4920, don't miss this nice small tool. The data tool is called MA-8512 handset manager, very nice and very user friendly, besides that, the cost is only US29.99, I would say this is something comes with excellent features and also with reasonable price.

RL4920 switching to automatic, CAN ROAM!

The RL4920 will switch all buy itself after rebooting frequently, to automatic where it can ROAM. It switches from the sprint setting only, for calls to automatic. Check this after you have booted this phone off and on for a while. So far Sprint will not acknowledge this or do anything about it. Instead they stick you with a phone that can ROAM on you.

Phone comparison

I currently have the VM - 4500, which I like a lot. The only thing I highly dislike on it is the brightness on the phone - at night - you can practically light up a room with this phone.. I sometime play the games which I have downloaded to this phone which burns my eyes in the dark cause of the brightness. I was wondering if anyone had this particular phone as I am interested in it -
My old Sprint phone had a setting where you could change the brightness of the phone..does this have this feature???
Also - Maybe you can..maybe you can't, but can you transfer pics and downloaded data to this phone as well as others?
Any info would be appreciated! 😎

non-OEM USB, Charging cables for the 4920/Sanyo line

On Ebay there are a TON of non-OEM cables -- travel chargers, car chargers and USB cables -- that are for sale for fairly cheap. My concern is that they are non-OEM -- not made by/for Sanyo, but knockoffs made by some other company.

Has anyone purchased these, and if so, had any problems with them? I don't want to burn out my nice RL-4920 phone, but I'm all about savings.

Thanks...

charging

I just bought this phone and am very pleased with it, but when I leave it turned on and plug it in to charge, the screen light will not turn off, and I can't figure out how to change it. Is there a way to turn it off, or will the screen just always stay lit?

Voice memo

I know it says you can store up to 20 recordings for a total of 50 minutes.

Can you do one recording for 50 minutes, or 3 recordings for about 17 minutes each, etc?

I had the 4900 but the only thing that was dissapointing was the 20 seconds limit on recording.

No Vision or Ready-Link

Sprint says that they are having an issue with PCS Vision and Ready link on this phone and hope to have it fixed anywhere from June 12th to the 16th.
