Motorola i285

i would like to ask if this phone works with any wireless phone network provider?

Seems like a stupid question and i though so before to but i got a i215 and it does not text msg and i want to get this one but if it doesnt text msg either then i have to find something else any help or good things about this phone any one could tell me would be appreciated thanks!
