Samsung SGH-E316 / SGH-E317

😁 Expect to see a very similar version of this phone with t-mobile in mid-late september!

Does anyone know if the M mode button can be reprogrammed to act as the "select" button? I don't use the M mode, and using it as a select button would save me time.

The e316 has officially been released by AT&T. It is in stores now but not currently on their website. We'll have to wait and see when it will be offered online. Most likely in a day or two.

I just ordered this phone from Amazon.com. I had a V600, which I found to have a lot of problems. I'm hoping this one will be better, but as there aren't many reviews out yet, but I figure it can't be worse then the V600.

Anyway, the reason for my post is to find out if anyone knows about ways to sync between the E316 and my PC (Windows), and what connection options I have.

Like most other that are released by at&t are released by cingular after a while and vice versa. But can anyone tell me how long this while will be?

I spoke with ATT yesterday and they are taking orders for the phone. The breakdown is as follows: It is
$289 .99 with a $50 credit for signing up for a two year plan bringing it to $239.99. Then the phone comes with a $50 mail in rebate taking the price down to $189.99 You can get them to FedEx the phone to you for an extra $9.99 so that instead of waiting 7 business days for it, you can have it the day after tomorrow. Amazon.com is also selling it but with a $200 rebate for NEW activations only. See which one is better for you, but the phone can now be ordered.

Just wanna let everyone know that i got the phone today from Trumbull, CT.. I had to travel 45mins just to get it.. Its the only store in CT that had it out today so i went there n got it..i got it for $199.. im gonna check for mail-in-rebate right after im done with this.. For far, i LOVE the phone!!!! it takes really good pictures.. No problems with it and like someone said before, i have better reception with this phone than anyother phone i had, and b4 this one i had a Nokia 3595...AT&T Wireless still doesnt have it, i called n checked.. Call around local stores to see if they have it cuz AT&T reps dont know nothin.. Good Luck n Enjoy!!

Look out for price drop on the SGH-E316 after the first 30 days. I've notice AT&T Wireless usually reduce the cost of the phone after 30 days. 😁 Sometimes sooner!

Along with a discount from AT&T for Lucent, since they provide AT&T with data and all that, i managed to get the Samsung e316 for only about $100!

Is there anyone who wants or has any info on the E317? and is it going to be the same price as the E316 for at&t?

🤭 I bought the LG phone on June 30th thinking the 30 day exchange would work with the e316 but for some reason it's been more than 30 days! Good thing I returned it but is there any news on the EXACT price and debut date?

To me, that's quite pricey, considering it's only a mid-level phone. I think I'll just stick with my good old x426. 😉

its between the E715 and the E316 what do you guys think ? witch one should i get?

I have been hearing this phone has already been released at Bestbuy, i cannot confirm this myself and wanted to see if people on this board have seen it either in an ad or in store?

This phone does not have infrared! a huge upset, especially when the LG 1150 does have infrared, alothough it is limited to what it can sync with. This phone does have the same ring tones as the x426, no normal tones, which customers will hate, just like the x426. The 15 multishot camera is a great feature though. I'll have to get back with the compatibility with outlook, I don't know for sure, but will post tomorrow.

I work w/ AT&T and we received our demo phone. to be honest, this phone isn't all that great! Don't get me wrong, it's a good phone, especially for the motion camera, but it only can store the video on the phone, and you cannot MMS it or email it, so it stays in the phone. I'd consider the LG Camera, or the V600. This phone is priced to high considering its drawbacks. I've used it for 2 weeks now, and I'm not super impressed. It get marginal call quality, it seems its sufers from the same "tinny" call quality likes its sibling x426. As for a release date, well, I work the company and to be honest, WE DON'T KNOW!
