Sony Ericsson Z500

I was so looking forward to this phone coming out... went out after work yesterday and bought one. It was pretty cool. I was coming from using a v400, which was the best phone I ever used, so I was expecting a lot. Well first off I wasn't impressed with the screen, it seemed small for a flip phone, and secondly I didn't like the way the keys felt. The keypad was sort of mushy and I found the keys to be recessed a bit into the phone, so that made it more difficult to navigate.

I went back to the store today and exchanged it for a Nokia 6230. So far I am very impressed with this phone. The screen is smaller than the Z500, but it is a smaller phone, so I can forgive it for that... mostly becuase I find the display quality superior to ...

where can i get free mp3 tones besides sony ericsson. Can I wonload them straight from my cpu?

if i remember correctly the z500 is 99$ in store after a instant 50$ rebate.. 189$ outright..they have a ton so there ready to fly out for xmas.. the onlything that will stop me from geting this phone is no speaker phone..

does anyone know the retail price of this phone?

When will the push-to-talk work? Can you use it with sprint customers?

It seems that after 9 months the phone is FINALLY coming out. It's about time!
(Lets just hope they dont pull a fast one and decide to hold it back for another couple weeks.)

Which one is better? Im leaning towards this phone b/c i havent had much luck with my motorola phones. My v60 broke with 3 months left and the t721 is not well made and junkey feeling. Any other insight. Pretend money is no object. Thanx

Well i got off the phone from cingular and guess what? THe z500a will be officially released tomm, december 2nd! 😁 But here comes the downside...cingular stores will not have it until sometime next week 😕 . The cingular website will take upto 4 days to update it self with the new phone. 😉 So lets cross our fingers and hope this information is right. 😈

I get my cell phones from a close friend. My plan was up a few days ago so i needed a new phone. Of course im lookoing into this one so I asked him about it. He said that he got word that it is coming out dec 1st. Tomorrow he will know for sure. Cant wait!! 😁

Personally, I think this is by far the stupidest thing Sony Ericsson could have done. I mean, building up hype for a month or two so that a lot of people hear about the product is ok....but after 9 months with no official release date, they crossed the line. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to follow others and turn to another phone that most likely wont be as good as the Z500 could be. Oh well ☹️

ok do we really know the phone will be in stock? because Pure-Mobile says "This product will be in stock on Friday 28 January, 2005."

I went to the Cingular store today and i got a chance to play with a replica verison n the looks of this phone Sucks it very bulky bigger than the motorola v400. The Screen on the phone n small it make the phone look retarded. I use to like this phone but after looking at it i don't want it anymore. I would only by this phone if u wanted it for the features not for the looks because it sucks. 😢 😡

We've heard practically every date for the release of this phone, ever since mid-November up to Dec. 2nd. It's understandable that dates get thrown around and such, but the only thing that Cingular has told me is that this phone is going to be out before Christmas.

That leaves from Dec. 2nd up to Dec 24th, maybe excluding the weekends, that we could potentially see this phone. This model looks to be a "holiday" exclusive. Hopefully it's out in December, all signs are pointing to this month (after countless calls to customer care and stores.) Any updates on information, please post.

this phone is definitely coming out for cingular tomorrow and willprobably hit stores by thursday or friday!!

I was told by sony ericsson that the z500a has been released. Do any of you know who has it for sale, I cannot find it anywhere.
