Does this phone have video recorder? Is is better than the MOTOROLA V635

It's seriously irrating to keep being told the phone is getting pushed back. some stores never even heard of it. why is it that it released in europe but not US? what's so hard about putting out the same phone with different band? i really don't wanna resort in paying ebay prices for this phone. it's OD for the specs it has. if they're not going to release it they should let people know. i don't want to wait for this phone another year...

I just read in HowardForums that it is official that Cingular will not carry the MPx. In addition, it mentions that the phone might not be released in US or anywhere else due to the processor and memory issues.

Just got a new issue of Vital Man magazine and there is a little blurb about the Motorola MPx. The look is different than the pics I have seen so far. It is layout more like the OGO. It is pretty sweet looking. I hope they can roll this one out soon. They describe it as "The Hummer of the latest generation of PDA's...a little bulky but has more than enough power to get the job done. It has a camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and global (GSM) cell phone connectivity. If you're a dedicated Windowsphile who can't live without Outlook, Word, and so on, the MPx is a fine choice. But add a memmory card to go beyond the stingy 15 MD; the MPx can support up to 1GB. Use the extra space to store a half-dozen games or DVD movies for entertainment on the go...

👿 I agree with Bill Firedrake, by the time this phone is released ti will be outdated, that is unless Moto was to update it with a new model before they actually release it.
1. If the phone is going to have triple radios they should make it UMA compatible.
2. Needs a better processor and ram
3. Get it to the market this time instead of delaying it inevitably.

I don't think so.treo 650 it the best smart phone on the market to this date.Motorola had their chance to top the market with the MPX 300 but now that I have my hand on this hot rod moto can keep their garage door opener.. or use it for spare parts to fix their other bad models. 🤣

Motorola is getting annoying lately with postponing its phones as technology is changing with the speed of light and when this phone comes out it will be outdated 🤭

Is there any posibility this phone will have windows mobile 2005? It may have had proto-types with 2003 but maybe they are working on 2005?

I have been looking at this phone for a long time now and would gladly sell my soul for is. You need not even actually provide the phone just enable its availability sometime soon and my soul is yours. I already offered this deal to Motorola but it seems they just want to keep us all in suspense indefinitely, therefore you are my last resort thank you ever so much for you time.

I've been around the net, as I'm sure many of the people here have. I was just wondering if I could get some clarification.

First, I'd like to get some opinions as to whether anyone thinks a 200 mhz processor is enough to keep this phone moving at a decent speed.

Second, I'd like to get some opinions on this phone's RAM. According to semi-reliable details on this phone, it will have only 32 mb of RAM. Much of this will be used to run the basic functions of the phone, but what about other programs? Also, are people going to have to do a soft reset every single time the phone runs out of RAM?

I, like many others is waiting for the arrival of this phone. Just a heads up though, if you get one of the european unlocked versions, it will not have the 850 (stronger US frequency in it)....it will only have the inferior 1900 for domestic use. Just a heads up for anyone willing to pay the 800 on ebay for it.

i contact the people who run samstores.com and they said the mpx comes out next week.

I HAVE BEEN WATCHING THE BOARDS FOR A WHILE NOW AND I AM TIRED OF HEARING THAT THIS PHONE IS COMING OUT FOR CDMA OR TDMA CARRIERS I REALLY WORK FOR CINGULAR AND THE MOTOROLA REP CAME TO MY STORE 2 WEEKS AGO WITH THIS PHONE AND SAID THAT WE WERE GETTING IT IN MARCH ALONG WITH THE A630 AND THE V635 AND THAT THE MPX WOULD BE FOR CINGULAR ONLY!!!
