Motorola V220

😈 Can anyone tell me what format the ringtones have to be when transfering them to my phone.

Does anyone know why I cannot access the website, zedge.no, with free ringtones and wallpapers on my Motorola V220?? I'm with Cingular and was just informed by a Zedge rep that alot of people who are with Cingular have the same problem and it is nothing on Zedge's end that is preventing my access (surprise, surprise??) 😡

I have just been trying to suss out the PST program and MIDWAY.

I have taken care to follow the instructions, so as not to destroy my phone.

I am now at the stage where I want to download the " said " game to my phone. But the download fails. The phone display gives the file name and asks Download Y or N.

I say yes A percentage bar comes on the phone display, but never goes above zero %

Then the Midway program displays

Opening JAD file.............[OK]
Connecting the phone.........[OK]
Transmitting data blocks.....[OK]
Completing transmission......[OK]

Opening JAR file.............[FAILED]

JAR downloading failed.

What am I doing wrong.
Please help. It must be eas...

Does anyone know how to delete the factory ringtones and pictures and demo games on a motorola v220. I would much rather have my own media then just having the factory media take up space. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I would like to know how to copy games and ringtones to ye olde sim card? please help, i am at a loss.

i have the v220. i have had it for less than a week and for the life of me i can not figure out why i cant send a picture to friends. I get message saying that it is 'unable to send'. I can recieve them only the phone wont actually let me see them. I cant seem to connect to anything else either. Like i try connectin to 'my account' but i get a message saying the 'connection is unavailable'. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME I'M GOING CRAZY! 😳

ok, i'm from st.louis and i'm a HUGE HUGE HUGE st.louis blues fan and i can't find any blues note logos to put on my phone as a background!! i have a rams one currently and i seen that they have a cardinals one, but i want a blues one!!!!!!! is there any way to get a logo besides the ones that are provided by the phone??? any help would be appreciated it!!! thanks 🙂

I just picked up my phone yesterday, and noticed once in a while it would just shut down. I did a web search and found a couple others with the same problem.

Here's how I can recreate it.

1. Close phone (leave on)
2. Push on the upper left hand corner, on the top half of the phone by the hinge (basically right above the up volume control, but on the top half that flips up)

The display in front will flicker and the phone will power down, then power back up.

This was driving me nuts trying to figure it out... finally went to charge it and it was just flickering, not charging after I plugged it in. So I opened then closed it and it charged, but when I picked it up it would flicker and power cycle again.

Just wonder...

Is it possible to download pictures from a computer to the phone without the USB cable.

I can not seem to figure out how to change the text size. Is there a way?

I've got a V220. Setup the phone directory with personal polyphonic ringtones for friends & all was working just peachy.

Last week all my personal polyphonic ringtones dissappeared and were replaced by a bland "ring ring". The default polyphonic ring is working just fine. I can change the personal ringtones to some other non-polyphonic ring and that works, but...
I want my polyphonic ringtones back.

my screen like the top of the phone squeeks when i even put a little force on it...is this happing to anyone else?....did i break it some how?....how can i prevent the squeek noise...i just got this phone one week ago 😕 😕 😕

Is it possible that Moto has fallen in line and switched to the "standard" side for end/send keys? Dunno how accurate these pics are, but after 5 motos, this "standard" way would be ever unstandard for me 🙂

Can anyone help me decide b/t these 2 phones? I don't have much experience with cell phones so it's difficult to know which is better for me.

Does the v220 allow you to store multiple numbers in one contact, or is each number a new contact (like the v180)?

👿 Dropped my 2 wk old Motorola V220 in a glass of water! Phone works except for the inside large LCD screen. Outside LCD works fine. Any idea where to find a replacement? So far internet searches have yielded nothing.
