has some one figure out how to set up IM service and e-mail account on the v80?

i've installed the update: mobilePhoneTools_2.21b_US.exe

but when i launch the mobile phone tools, and it starts to search for the phone via blue tooth connection, i get an error message that is not descriptive.

does anyone have a solution?

Anyone else having dropped call problem after around 10 min? Everytime I use the phone, the call seems to drop around 10 min (little more, little less).

anyone know how to change the network to a cingular network.. I seem to be able to change it from atnt to tmobile.,. but i need to be on cingular. im on the atnt right now and my plan doesnt have roamin charges to lets hope im ok.

👿 😈 Can you guys save your girly bickering for another forum? Anyone who is looking for information on the Motorola V80 now has to sift through all this crap about GSM vs CDMA.

With that said, does anybody have any information about when this phone is coming to the U.S.? This is one of the sweetest phones I have ever seen and it ships with a bluetooth headset and USB cable.

MY V80 WHEN I MAKE A CALL SAYS DIVERT ON. WHAT DOES IT MEAN, HOW DO I GET RID OF IT?

Has anybody had any success setting up the IM and email client on this thing. I don't want to use the Tzones version. THis is driving my crazy. Mot and Tmobile are not helpful

😲 Does anyone know if the rotating screen will break at the speed it opens? I am afraid that if it keeps opening it this way that eventually the devices / and screen will break. If anyone knows let me know please.

How the heck can you select either sim or phone contacts to be displayed in the screen???
My Nokias have always let me select either or both - V80 seems to have no options here ...... u have to have double entries when filling sim/phone.

Does this phone do individual caller ID or just groups? The v878 I have can only do groups ☹️

I use the supplied software to transfer ringtones to the V80 but I don't see any function to add new sounds to the rotation sounds on the phone. Any clues?

yes cdma is the best, but let's be patient with gsm. Its a matter a building a larger gsm network across the country, before CDMA is obsolete. The advantage of gsm is that you can take your gsm handset oversees (assuming it's unlocked and has the 900/1800 frequency). If CDMA is here to stay, then yeah it has to step up with sleeker looking phones. Its safe to say that a lot of uneducated consumers choose their wireless provider based on the carrier's phone selection. Verizon has to make some calls!!

I saw 1 today and man was that sh*t nice...it was so sleek and everything...The screen was realy nice to...It was really thin and stuff 2..I didnt get to play with it or anything but I saw a guy using it at a store that sells phones for all services in Westwood...damn it was nice

Another good Motorola phone coming out in GSM. Reminds me when the v70 came out. Makes me want to switch to ATT or T-Mobile.
