Sum folks say you can load mono-ringtones on it but you need Bluetooth? correct? I have a Dell 700m which of course DOESNT come with bluetooth capabilities... should I spring for the Bluetooth USB Adapter? Secondly does anyone know how to set up the browser info? I just purchased v878 for Cingular and I cannot get MMS to work. Message is in the inbox, but can't retrieve it. I've tried to work with MMS setting but to no avail.

Suggestions, help, instructions will be appreciated.

I have seen pictures and read some reviews for this v878. It seems like something I would be really interested in. I've never owned a Moto (now I have samsung e-105) and people around me keep saying that Moto always got weak signal... at lease compared to nokia or samsung. Is that true? I have heard terms such as 'piece of junk' and although I love the look and features of v878, I certainly don't want a piece of junk.

Right now I am looking at this v878, v551 and sharp TM150. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

i was just wondering. I live in the United States so its really hard to find accessories here for them. where could i go to find them.

i just purchased this phone yesterday and i found out that i cannot download any ringtones because my phone is from asia. has anyone out there figured out a way to surf the web on a motorola v878?? i wish someone would've told me before i bought this phone.

...who would like to know some things. Okay, I'm very interested in this phone, but away from this board I heard bad things. I heard usually when you DL something like a ringtone or you leave ur phone inactive for a while the screen turns blank

"screen blanks out" meaning the damn screen quits working, not a screen saver! It's just a piece of **** phone full of defect. the hinge is loose and other parts are not fit properly. first time I've ever seen a phone with such a poor quality"

This phone has incredible reception, great volume, fits everywhere and feels really solid for it's size.

So, what is the problem? The lights in the keypad are err..... pink. I am a guy and this just bugs me. Does anyone know of a way to change this without ripping the phone apart?

It just pisses me off that Moto finally made a phone that is a good size and has great sound and RF but then they F-Up on this feature. Maybe this was made for women... obviously the size is more conducive.

So... sorry to be a whiner but if I could just alter this one thing I would be in heaven! Any thoughts, suggestions other than an operation for myself?

how about the IM messages sent from mobile IM?

well i had this phone for about 2 months now and i kept on trying to load mp3 and wav files onto my phone, however it was a failed attempt... i know this phone could support mp3 and wav... and i tried almost everything.. do i need to download an extra software? or is there a way that i dont know about? respond to this or email me please its urgent hahaha i could only upload mid files which are basically polyphonic. respond asap please thanks.

😢 I have this phone and I am having problems getting the phone programmed for US. I can not get or send multimedia or preset messages. T-mobile is my provider and they are stumped.

I have a friend who got the phone with T-Mobile its originaly priced at $400

Hi it seems that I am having problems with the caller ID it only shows the incoming number and not the "name" of the caller like other phones. YOu know like if you have that person in your phone book it will show their name when they call. Is there a way to turn that feature on?

Also the phone book seems to list BOTH the SIM card and Phone phonebook memory So all my names show up twice in the phonebook one with a SIM symbol next to it indicating it is a SIM number. I tried selecting either the SIM or the Phone but it still continues to show BOTH... anyone know how to fix this?

I've had the V878 since last Friday.While I'm not big on Motorolla products, this one is excellent. Great reception, nice clear calls w/ & a really small, light unit. Easy to slip in your pocket. Good inner & outer full color (65K) screens. Able to download from MOTO site here in the States. Styling is a bit 40's Buck Rogers/ deco but not bad. No Bluetooth or IRDA but so what, not the worst thing not to have. The only negative is small memory.

Looks like a nice handset- too bad the black hole for cellular technology (AKA: The Unites States) can't get stuff like this. I'll even bet this one is in the hands of users long before it's cousin, the CDMA V810, is released in the US.

does this phone have bluetooth....i have a v400 right now, and i'm an agent for cingular and it's one of the best phones i've ever used...but i hate the fact that it isn't bluetooth...i wonder if the v878 will be on cingular's market??? it's gsm, but knowing everything works like it does...t-mobile will get it first...i hate them!
