OS-X and GPRS

Has anyone with a Mac been able to connect to the GPRS network with their A630 via BT? I'm getting mixed messages from T-Mobile and have gone to Tier3 support (not much help there) but I'm still SOL. Is this possible?

Outlook compatibility

I need a good phone first PDA. Something that I can update my Outlook calendar and send on the spot updates. Having it integrate with with Outlook is huge for me. Can anyone tell me if this is a good tool for this? đŸ˜ŗ

Too little, too late

I have been waiting for this phone for months and have seen the release date given then retracted multiple times. I finally broke down and bought the Audiovox SMT5600 instead and I couldn't be happier. This phone offers so much more than the A630. I've got a 512MB MiniSD card in it right now and it plays music and videos flawlessly with a screen that's twice as big as the A630, and the phones are about the same size. I played with the A630 for about an hour at the T-Mobile store, and the SMT5600 offers SO MUCH MORE than A630. The ONLY thing you get with the A630 is a keyboard, and the keys aren't even that responsive so you aren't saving as much time for texting as you might think. I would strongly recomend anyone thinking about the A6...

How much is this Motor a630 going for now?

How much to get the phone with a contract?
How much just the phone itself?

Question: What happens if...?

I don't have this phone yet. I'm waiting for Cingular to release it. Anyway, my question is: what happens if you're in the middle of a call and you flip the phone open, or maybe get a text message? Does it hang up on the person on the other end? or is it possible to talk and text at the same time?

blacksrt4guy

since you apparently own this phone can u answer these questions...

1) Can u access the phonebook w/o opening the phone, from the external screen?

If so, can u press like 3, and it will bring u to the D's, and if u press 3 again, it will bring u to the E's?

2) Is the phone comfortable to talk on, w/o the speaker, when its closed?

3) If you make a call when its open, it activates the speaker right? so if u close it, will speaker still be on, or will it go back to the regular way you talk on a phone?

If it stays on speaker when its closed, is it possible to go back to the other way?

thanks

Help on some menu items

Well I just finished reading the manual and didn't find what I was looking for.

In the phone's menu there's a battery save option that's set to on, what does that do? If I set it to off what will happen? I'm asking this because there are already options for back light & screen delays.

Also in message setup there's an auto-cleanup, which I've set to last 5 messages for outgoing messages. How do I get it to work though, cause yesterday I had 6 messages in my outbox. Also I set Inbox messages to last 20 but that didn't have an effect either, anyone has any info on these items?

Price Drop?

I REALLY want this phone, but I am only switching one of my numbers to Tmobile for txt msgs. (T-mobile is the only carrier that can receive txts from a particular carrier from overseas) anyway, I want to get the cheapest plan ($19.99) but I will be getting unl txts, I think it's too much money for a phone I'll be using only for txts. I think I might get the Moto 650, but if the price of this phone drops after I get the 650 I'll kick myself for weeks. Does any one know if the price of this phone will drop any time soon? I really want to have this phone. I have 5 days left under contract with VZW, so I have to make a desicion quick.

HandsetManager, software and data cable, 2 in 1 package, software upgrade (free!!), hundreds ringtones, and pictures (wallpapers) are included (free!!)
CNet also reviewed this product, 7 out of 10! (very good!)
You dont want to miss this if you own a A630!

DUN Headaches

I have the A630 on T-Mobile and having trouble getting Dial-Up Networking to work from my tablet PC through the A630. I had been using a Nokia 6600 which worked fine.

I'm getting dropped as soon as I try and connect with an error:619. Any help?

I'm dialing *99# as I have with other phones under T-Mobile. The configurations on the tablet are the same as other phone connections. My Nokia 6600 still works without a problem so I know my service works.

I need to get this to work or take it back before my 14 days are up.

Thanks.

Question A630 T-Mobile & reqwireless WebViewer

I read one of the reviews, confirming that the reqwireless WebViewer works well with the Motorola A630.

I just recently bought an A630 from T-Mobile with T-Zones Pro, downloaded the WebViewer from "www.reqwireless.com\wap" OTA, but have not been able to get this WebViewer to connect to any servers.

Can anyone provide some insight on what may be wrong. Is the T-Mobile "T-zones" enough, is the GPRS WAP connection okay, if not then what?

Thank you.
