Motorola V400

I am using MPT with a V400 it connects like it is suppose to most of the time. I dont have any problem with my contacts but when I go to the media section I dont have any connection. This is the main part that I want to work. Has anybody had this same problem and if so what am I doing wrong. I am using Win XP Home and have the lastest version of MPT. Thanks for any help on this.

can someone help me with changing the time on the moto v400 with cingular service. i have it on autoupdate ON... but the time hasnt reverted back to EST. Thanks

I'v had this phone for 4 months and the speaker just decides to go out. it goes very low and then if u keep tapping it cames on and then the next time u turn it on same thing dose ne 1 know how to fix it???

I have all the programs that I need. I am not sure what to do with them. I open MPT and the media center and there is nothing on the phone side. I was told that there should be some folders???
Any help would be nice.

Does anyone know how to get the ringer volume to go louder? I have it on 7 loud and I can barely hear it in my purse if there is any noise around. Are there free ringer tones that may be louder? 7 doesn't seem to be loud enough at all. I would appreciate any help. VM answers too quickly as well. Can you tell I just got the phone? I love it, but it has a few things I need help with. Ringer volume being # 1. There are not many choices of tones and I think I chose the loudest one on the loudest volume. HELP!

do i have to activate it with a plan because I bought it off ebay and was told it was a motorola V600 but it looks like a motorola V400 and i wanted to activate it on tmobile someone please help me! ☹️

I've had no luck with the email settings. I've tried using settings for an actual pop3 email site (HotPOP.com) and any other settings I find that use cingular's photo.mycingular.com as send and receive host. Nothing has worked! I work for Cingular customer service, and I plan to research this, but training on specific phone features is rare. Any of you techies have the answer? Thanks in advance.

I suspect it's been asked before, but can the V400's browser be altered to allow getting AOL e-mail?

I know on CINGULAR you can get YAHOO and CINGULAR e-mail, but that's not what I need.

The AT&T network allows AOL e-mail retrieval, so why not CINGULAR?

Appreciate any suggestions short of moving to AT&T. 🙂

...while on a long conversation your battery starts to die...with Nokias you can just plug-up to a charger and continue talking indefinitely...with my v400 the phone still dies while on the charger. Is this just how Motos are, period?

windows 2k automatically installs the drivers fir my phone right when i plug it in. Does anyone know how to disable that option?

I go to motclub to download midway and I cant get it. I'm constantly redirected. Is there any other place to get it.

i have been readin through the posts on this forum, and i know this topic has come up numerous times before, however some of the links are broken, and i was hoping that someone could explain to me what software i would need to change the flexware of my v400 to that of the v600

How do I create ring tones (following the manual all I get is a single tone)? Is there a way for me to create MP3 ringtones? I have my phonebook stored on the phone and not the SIM (as I understand it, this was necessary in order to have access to the one touch dial feature), how do I backup the phonebook and other customizations to the SIM card?

Is there anyway that i can use an mp3 file for my voicemail message. I want to use a song as my voicemail message. Thanks for your help.

how good is the camera on the v400 and has does it compared to the v220?

with GSM the IMEI number that your service provider (Cingular for me) has from your phone doesn't matter does it? They only identify with your SIM card number right? I ask because I recently tried an LG 1400 to compare to my V400. The rep changed my IMEI in the system and she said that it didn't really matter, but she would do it anyway. Well i decided to return the LG and keep my V400, this time the rep didn't change my IMEI back, now I am having terrible problems making and receiving calls from my V400 at my house where I have full (max bars) signal. Outgoing calls take several tries to go through, and calls to me go straight to my voice mail. Could this have anything to do with my IMEI number? I will get it changed back, but do you ...

I know the ATT wireless card works in the phone and other US SIM cards. Will European SIM cards work in the phone as well, since the phone is a WORLD PHONE?

sometimes when im online i get droppe dfrom the net does that mean i lost reception on my phone just curious?
