I was just looking around for a better place to download them, and found that you can get the latest version from Motorola themselves after entering a bit of personal information. You don't need to have bought an official Motorola data cable and the download is free.
I just got through downloading and installing the latest version myself.

thinking about buying the phone...
I just bought the Samsung P107, it's a very nice phone other than the fact that the reception is not very good at all. I've heard that the reception on the V400 is very good, but that the phone seems a bit large. For me to switch to this phone I really need the reception to be outstanding. Does anyone notice the phones larger size when it's in your pocket? Or does anyone know any major problems with the phone? Thanks.
Downloading ringtones on v400
how do i download mp3 ringtones from my computer to my phone. I have the usb cable. Do i need anythin else? Do i need any software?

Ive a problem with my V400
Ive only had the phone for a week and I'm having a problem. My browser freezes when i try to open it up. Do any of yall have this problem. and can anyone help me fix it? if so please do help.

so i got the phone with suncom, the guy at the store said i would be able to download ringtones with the iNet, but ive been on it and i have no idea how to do, mostly because there is nothing on my phones about ringtones.

Question about T-Mobile and the V400
Hi,
My brother just got this phone, he has T-Mobile.
The problem is that it seems as if he has cingular.
It does say T-Mobile at the beginning, but he has things like "Cingular mail" and other cingular settings,
can anyone tell me if this can be changed, if so please tell me how.

I read that the v400 is supposed to have an AM/FM radio, but I can't figure out what accessory I need to purchase to activate it. Is it just a regular headset, or a specific one?

sending games to v400
hi i was just wondering what program you would use to send games to the v400? and what kind of file do i send? .jar or .jad and i see games with both file names so do i send both files? and i use a serial cable btw lol. ive used pst i think it was, but it was a really long process and most of the time it didnt work.

Everybody calls this a "World Phone". Have any of you tried to use this phone in JAPAN?

moto mixer
i just got my 2nd v400 because the 1st one had a defect. My 1st one had motomixer and it worked.. this phone has motomixer but when i click new moto mixer it takes me back to the multimedia menu. Why is that?

Why doesn't Verizon carry Motorola?
Does anyone know why Verizon doesn't carry the newer Motorola phones?
I really like Verizon's service and have always used Motorola phones.
I have an older Motorola flip that I would like to upgrade.
I have no choice but to get an LG flip through Verizon, unless I'm willing to change carriers.
I'm hesitant on both points.
Any advice?

v400 picture messaging.
i put my t mobile sim card in the cingular v400 and it wont let me send or recieve picture messages. can some1 help me please??

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knew if the V400 could be used with T-Mobile and be able to access the t-zones feature. Can someone who tried a T-Mobile chip on the V400 get back to me on this. Thanks

Two Questions
I have had my V400 for a couple for days and had two questions I hope someone can help me with.
1) I seem to have the voicemail symbol always on my screen (even when there is no voicemail). Is there anyway to get the symbol to go away?
2) My phone seems real slow to reacquire service signal. I went to the network menu but the only options there is automatic or selecting 850/1900 or 900/1800. There is no other option. Do I need to upgrade software or something.

v400 problems!!
i just bought an unlocked v400 and its from cingular. i have tmobile service. every time i try to send a picture message, it wont let me. does anyone know how to change setting on the phone so that i can send picture messages? i need help!!!

im going tpo purchase the v400 is there any problems i should know or look out for?
im goin to purchse the v400 becaz im upgrading from my t720. i heard from the forum that different people are having problems with there v400s. Is there any problems i should know about or look out for before i spend the few hundred for this phone? any respomses will be greatly appreciated. 🙂 😁
