Motorola V400

newbie here looking for motorola phone tools for my v400.
changing phones and would like to sync so i may keep all info on my pc.thanks.

i want to upload themes and other stuff in my motorola v400 phone through USB. where can i download free drivers and softwares to be able to do this?

When I first bought my phone the volume button showed the ring styles and if someone was calling it would silence the ringing.

Now I have to press the voice button on the right side of the phone and then press the volume button for the ring styles to show.

Does anyone know if i could change some settings to return the phone to how it was before?

I am a T-Mobile customer, but I just purchased the Motorola V400 from Cingular because it was unlocked. I am not a fan of the colorful ringtones. I am looking for a website or a way that I can download Motorola's classic and beep ringtones. Can someone recommend a website or a suggestion for acquiring the oldschool ringtones?

I'm trying to update flex version on my V400. Can anyone tell me what the last version was and where I can get it? I have the data cable now. Just need the flex update.

my friend is getting a new phone when her contract is up. she has a v400 and she offered it to me for $10. i want to get it because i get bored of phones easily and i could just slip my SIM card in when i get bored of my SLVR or W600i...should i take it just for the heck of it??? thanks...

I recently got the Motorola v400 and purchased the wire to connect to my computer. I know I need software, but I have no clue where to get it. I want to find something free if possible. Can someone be nice enough to explain what I need to do and where I need to go?

I am trying to find the polyphonic ringtone "mania" that is on the hellomoto.com page (http://tinyurl.com/4cudn)! it didn't come with my phone! does anyone know where i can find / download it?

Hi, I am new here 🙂

I have a V400 that had some scratches on the face plate, so I removed the face plates and while attempting removal 1) Antenna would not unscrew. 2) not sure if I ripped the copper flat piece that was under some clear tape, possibly part of the camera connection. I got my face plate painted and reinstalled and now my phone has no display. I took everything apart and checked and found all the contacts are secure. I surfed and found Motomodders site
and posted this question and only got one reply
the gentleman claimed that I broke the ' Ribbon Cable ' I checked my cable and seems to be intact. I need some advise, please. Should I replace the ribbon cable or get another phone

When I flip open the cell phone, the screen is black every time. I have to press a key to make it work. Where in the setting I can change that please?

Also, it is unlocked, I found I cannot use international phone card with California access code. I was told the PIN number is invalid. But phone card with 1800 access code works. Does this related to the fact that it is unlocked, or there's any other problem?

I bought this phone on ebay and it shipped from Germany. I guess this model isn't available in the US yet. This one has the PTT capability. I can't use it because Cingular doesn't have that phone on its PTT releases. I don't mind about that but everytime I try to download a ring tone from the internet, it says GPRS isn't able to connect. Anybody have any ideas? I am not able to hook to the internet at all.

Ok SO I got my V400 2 years ago and the cingular guy told me to save my phone #'s to the phone not the SIM b/c it has more memory space....major problemo now because my phone V400 has gone crazy....it will turn on but the screen is black so I have no way of getting my #'s....I took it to 2 different cingular stores and they tried to retrieve the #'s from the machine after using like a gazillion different cables, but it did not work.

SO the nice lady at cingular suggested that I try and figure out from someone who has a V400 what the steps are to put the #'s from phone to SIM and then try to do it (kind of tricky because remember I can not see the screen, but to save my #'s it is worth the effort)

😕 i was playing in the option of my new v400, and i can't hear anything when someone call me, the ringtone goes on and i reply and i can't hear anything, can anyone help me plz

i have had my v400 for 2 weeks by now.i had used phone tool to upload some ringtones and wallpapers last night.everything seems goin fine.but today after i uploaded another 2 or 3 ringtones,it was ok for awhile,then like 2 hours later,when i was gonna use my phone,it went black.i try to press the power button,and it goes that the back light went on and off,then stay off for couple of seconds,then went back on and off again and again...just keep goin like this. should i hard reset the phone? if that so,how i do that? or should i do something else? is the phone dead? please help!!!

Like the title says, how do I make it so my phone can ring more before my voice mail message starts? I just got my phone and I've missed a couple calls because before I can answer it in 2-3 rings, voice mail comes up.

My wife's phone had constant call drops and I took it back to the vendor. He thought it was a phone defect since there was only one reception bar showing on face plate. He gave me a replacement phone and sent the original one back to the carrier. I now got a $50 bill from the carrier due to damage beyond economic repair. When I looked into this they told me there was "liquid damage--which could been caused by many sources including perspiration. Well, this phone was less than 3 months old and was never abused. I am protesting the $50 payment (the insurance I have for the phone excludes this liquid damage issue). Has anyone ever successfully protested a bill to a cell phone company?
