6822?

Does anyone have info on the 900/1800/1900 Nokia 6822? I saw it on their website and on several other sites. It looks to be a T-Mobile model, but I can't find any verification.

manually select carrier when roaming (in US)

I noticed there is the option to manually or automatically select the system you want use. Well, this is shown in the manual however, on my new Cingular 6820 (which is operating on AT&T's GSM in NY) the settings are not shown in my menu.

Anyone have any ideas to unlock this function?

Nokia 6820/Bluetooth/AIM

Hi all. I am new to this board. A Cingular rep actually told me to post here, as he/they could no longer help me!!! Anyhow, I took a customer service rep's word about a month ago that if I bought a 6820 on the open market that it would be compatible with Cingular's network, but they did not YET sell it. So, I bought an "AT&T" 6820 privately. The rep was only partly right. It makes & receives calls, texts, WAP browser's OK, wireless modem with the DKU-5 cable's fine, but no matter what they do, 2 issues remain:
-they cannot, no way, no how, make the phone/ Bluetooth work for use as a wireless modem. I have a TrendNet TBW-101UB dongle. The phone and computer are definitely paired, I can synch contacts with PC Suite just fine. But, they have g...

Wallpaper Problem

I recently downloaded a cool wallpaper for the holidays. Unfortunately, the carrier name "AT&T/Cingular" displays over an important part of the picture. 👿

Does anyone know how to remove the carrier name from the display?

Nokia 6820 and Cingular

I currently used the 6820 with AT&T service and phone worked great, I recently migrated to Cingular. So I popped in my new sim card, The phone powers up with Cingular on the screen, I can make phone calls but can't get on the the Cingular network, When I hold down the zero key like I did with AT&T the phone tries to connect to mMode.

Any help,

Are there two different firmware phones for each carrier? The phone is unlocked.

How can I change Freq/Band

I got a 6820 when I tried to use this in India, I could not get into 900Mhz Band. I am currently an ATT subscriber and all I could access was Hutch in India.
Even after unlocking this did not work in 900Mhz.
How can I change this !!??

Bluetooth to Ipaq1945

Does anybody have any good experience connecting Ipaq1945 to N6820? I am really having hard time with this. I called Nokia they told me the problem is that Ipaq is using a "unit key" code to give the password to N6820, but N6820 is expecting a "Combination Key" code. I went back to HP and they gave me a patch and a rom upgrade but still does not work ... I managed to connected once (some how) but I cant repeat it?

Anybody has any experience with this?

Thanks

blackberry email client

Has anyone used the blackberry email client yet with this phone? If so with what provider and how difficult was it to configure. I work for T-Mobile and I'm using a blackberry to get my corporate email in addition to having my E715. I think I'd drop the two and go for one if device if this thing works well. There are many hot phones out, but the blackberry email client sets this apart from the rest. My next phone was to be the V600 but the thought of getting back to one device is to inviting. Unless the PocketPC phone platform gets the blackberry client like rumored this is the phone I want.

6820 Blackberry question

I'm looking for some feedback on 6820's Blackberry offering. Has anybody set this up yet? I'm looking to purchase this phone and dump my current RIM 957 so I can have just one device. However, I would love to hear some opinions first.

Thanks in advance.

INTERNATIONAL CALLING FROM YOUR CELL......VERY CHEAP

Does anyone here pay the herendous prices for international dialing through your wireless provider...Well if you do i can start you through a company that allows you to call from your cell phone, you call a 212 number, then it gives you a dial tone to call where ever you need in the world...If u sign up before the end of the month, the company will give you to start $5 free of calling....

Most countries in Europe are 6cents, so this is definetely cheaper than Verizon..

I know calling cards may be cheaper, but on this there is no connection fee, and u do not need to carry a stupid card around. This service works as well for other wireless providers, and landline companies..

Will an update be made available?

http://www.nokiausa.com/phones/6820i »

I see that the 6820i will be available 'soon', before the year is up I would guess.

I would sure like to update my ATTWS 6820 with Blackberry functionality, what do you think the chances are of a firmware/software update being made available?

Nokia 6820-Phone book and Outlook sync

😢

How can I sync my outlook phonebook w/ my phone?
It blows my mind that Nokia spends time and money developing this phone and the sync process is time consuming and difficult to figure out.
There ae lots of complaints about it, everywhere on the net about this issue w/ Nokia phone.

What's going on people?

Considering buying the 6820

Seems like it does everything I need it to. I'd rather see mp3 ringtones and no camera but meh oh well. My big question is how much of a dissapointment is the screen quality going to be vs my TFT 65k colour GU87 screen? Is it going to be so bad in comparison I'll hate myself for getting it? EDGE and Bluetooth are real nice, and I like the keyboard idea, so for the most part I think this may work for me I'm just afraid the screen will be such a downgrade I won't be able to handle it. Any comments?
