Motorola V500 / V525 / V505

Hello my fellow v505 owners, I am posting a couple of sites I have discovered to have a GREAT selection of real tones and wallpapers. these are wap pages, so in order to download has to be via your wireless internet (mMode for att). first is

I have a V525.

When I'm using a bluetooth connection in my car (BMW with factory bluetooth), my call gets terminated after 4 rings. My call doesn't stay connected long enough to reach an answering machine.

I don't have this problem when I'm not using the handsfree/bluetooth connection.

I tried Motorola, Cingular, and BMW. No one has any ideas.

I have had a V505 for a few weeks now and have missed several calls. At first I thought it was because I could not feel it vibrating, but since changing it to an audible alert I am convinced it's a problem with the phone. If the caller leaves a vm, I get alerted most of the time. Friday evening I missed 5 calls and a couple vm's! Anybody else having this problem?

Function work. I know that the V505 does not take videos but that it can play them. I have seen the one that came with the cam but that is it. I am not able to send any vid, even really small files to my phone. I can send tones, and pictures with my bluetooth device but not videos...please help.

Att changed the right soft key on the main screen to be a dedicated mmode button is there a way to change that i hit by accident sometimes also while Im asking can I take the network name off the main screen and put in what I want any help is appreciated

Can you download ringtones to this phone? 🙂

........and I will have it very soon, cant wait. It's just so awesome. I cant wait to get rid of my nokia....anyone want to buy a Nokia 3200?!?! 😁 , err maybe I'll keep it as backup, can't complain about it, it was a COOL phone. I actually found use for the built in flashlight.

What is the capacity of the memory?

Is there a way to set up the V505 on ATTW to automatically send the password when you call voice mail from the cell phone?

Can i just use my mini usb cable that came with my digital camera? (It has one end small usb one end computer sized) or do i need to buy the whole motorola package for it with the software.

V505 same problems that V600 had. 😕 Motorola should make better phones. For the money they want for them.

I've spoken to alot of people that say the Motorola Mobile PhoneTools 2 version that allows you to upload ringtones & images isn't out yet. Well.... that may be true, but thats never stopped me before. Here is how you get it:

Firstly you'll need a previous version of Motorola Mobile PhoneTools and an update. So go here and get it:

Scroll down & Download 2 files:
1. Motorola Mobile PhoneTools 1.23c Original English
2. Motorola Mobile PhoneTools 2.16 Update English

Install PhoneTools 1.23c first. Then upgrade using PhoneTools 2.16 Update. Once this is done use Liveupdate in the program to download & install version 2.19.

Can anyone find this phone on motorola's site?

Does the USB and/or Bluetooth features on this phone allow me to use a keyboard? T9 (or the moto version) is ok, but it's nice to be able to use a keyboard sometimes.
