Motorola V500 / V525 / V505

Are there any compatibility issues with this phone and Cingular's network? I saw on Amazon that this phone is still listed (for -$150!!) as an AT&T phone and I'm wondering why its not listed as a Cingular phone. Any comments on its performance on the new Cingular would be appreciated.

Also, I can't find anywhere what Bluetooth functions this phone supports. I assume it supports Handsfree Profile. Does it support Object Push Profile? I'm trying to figure out whether it is compatible with my car....

Can anyone tell me how to transfer MP3s from my computer to my V505 using Bluetooth? I do have bluetooth on my computer. What is the porcess to transfer the music. I cannot figure it out. Thank you...

I have a v400 and would like it if it could play videos only (since video recording isnt that good yet.)It also has bluetooth. Just wanted to know if i buy this phone at full price can i use it on Cingulars network.

Ok- Just Got the V505 1 Week Ago. Specs on phone scoop state the hands free is a 2.5mm jack. Sales person at ATT sold me a starter kit for Motorola (V180 & V220) he said it was compatible. Question: I dont think the handsfree jack for the V505 is 2.5 mm; do I need an adapter? I have not been able to find a handsfree (non bluetooth) to fit; everything I have found seems to be the 2.5mm single/straight plug type. Can you advise?

hi guys ,im new around here,i have been surfing all over the web trying to find the best reviews of the moto v505.And so far phonescoop rocks,well my question is for those who have had experience with moto v505 and other phones.Currently im able to afford just 250 dollars ,and due to the fact that is outside Usa it most be an unlocked phone,my question is which ,from your point of view and handling ,is better?the moto v505 or the ericsson t630,they have similir features but i cant decide,what to you recommend me guys? 🙂 is there any other phone better than this,take into account that im in mac osx

I have a Motorola V600 and although it had bluetooth I could not figure out how to send my entire contact list from my pc to my phone at one time. I had to send one number at a time which got kind of old since I have over a hundred numbers.

I recently ordered a v505 so am I missing something. Is there a way to send all my contacts at once via bluetooth???

How the hell do I get this bluetooth to work? I turn it on by going to the setup then power on, but when my brothers Sony Ericsson T630 tries to send me something it doesn't seem to connect to it. Also, can I send stuff via bluetooth because it doesn't seem like it. Help?

I just received two V505's for my wife and myself and am quite pleased so far. I was wondering if I can get some suggestions as to brands of USB Bluetooth devices, for a PC connection, that have worked well with other V505 owners? I'd like to use Bluetooth for transferring ringtones, pictures, and Outlook Calendar entries.

So I've had this phone more then 30 days now - and my only complaint is that it has lost 2 numbers, one very important.

I enter a number and name - store it to the phone (not the SIM card) - all seems successful. Then upon trying to retrieve it, the number isn't there. Totally disappeared without a trace...not sure if anybody else has seen this or if my phone DB is corrupted or sth?

Can anyone tell me the difference between the v505 and the v525.

Are there any unlocked V505's out there?
I've been trying to get a moto V505, but in order to buy one, I would have to sign up for a new contract, and my current one expires in the middle of 2005. I would appreciate any help regarding this matter

Can someone please tell me how to keep this phone on vibrate after I pair it to a SE HBH-35 Bluetooth headset?

Everytime I power on the phone, I have to re-pair it to the headset. When I do the ringer is set to loud. This also happens when the headset is unplugged from the charger and the V505 "recognizes" the device again.

Which leads me to another question, how do I get it to "remember" the pairing when I turn it back on?

At long last I have decided NOT to buy the NEC 616v but get the Motorola v500 instead. Good call I may hear you say. 🤣

My only problem is to do with the need to use this phone in both England and Norway. So my question is, is there any place in the uk that can do a remote unlock for this phone which does not cost more than £15?

My other question is, I have seen people talk about v505. What is that?

Does anybody know how much text can be entered in the Text function. I can only sned 2 pages of text in a text message, on my previous phone i could send 7. Any ideas on how to increase it or is that the max. Thanks in advance

Heard lots of bad reviews on v600 with ATT this phone looks like offers better features than v600.

Hos is the service on this phone , any dropped calls . Can the Bluetooth be used for file transfer or no?

I saw this phone for sale at an AT&T store in Newport Beach, CA today. I couldn't get a salesperson to help me so I left, but they had a demo model on the floor.

I haven't seen them next to each other but this phone looks smaller/more streamlined to me. Phonescoop stats say it's actually bigger? Are my eyes deceiving me?
