Motorola V500 / V525 / V505

I just switched to Cingular from AT&T and I'd love to have my V505 or V600 as a back up phone, does anyone know the unlock code for either phone or does anyone know where I can find it? Thanks for any help anyone can give me 🙂

Is there any way to change the length of time that my phone will ring? When it's set on vibrate+ring, I timed the vibration part of an incoming call at ~5 seconds, then another ~10 seconds for the audible ring tone. This particular mp3 file is 33 seconds long, so I can tell that it's being cut off.

I'd like to increase the time period to about 30 seconds, to give me a better chance to run to the phone, or fish it out of my pocket, to pick it up.

I noticed that the Moto ring tone in the Sounds library is exactly 15 seconds...I wonder if that's a sign... 🙂

ok, I have a motorola V505 which is for AT&T. I unlocked it using the subsidy passcode to use for cingular. text, pic and video messaging is not working. Is there a fix for that or am I just SOL?

I downloaded some pictures and as soon as I saved them, they were locked by the phone with the rest of the installed pictures. The only pictures that are unlocked, are the ones that I take with the camara. Is there a way to unlock the locked photos? Any help is greatful. Thanks 😁

I'm confused. I just got the V505 on the ATT wireless...Amazon - rebates etc give you a whopping $150 BACK! BUT, I assumed that voice dial was a feature of the phone. But when I attempt to record a name

I press the button on the right side of the phone and get NOTHING...It does not record.
Only option is CANCEL.

I called ATT- now Cingular today and was told that my plan - ATT National Rate $39.99 - does not include Voice Dial and I have to subscribe to their Voice Dial service for $3.99 a month.

My previous 3 phones have all had voice dial on the phone and did not require this.

Does anyone know if the HS850 is compatible with the V505?

I've got a the v505 and I've got a problem maybe somenone can help me with. When I try to access the Instant Messengers I get an "application error". I've done the master reset and it did nothing to help the problem. I called Motorola and they were no help. Is there anyway to reload the software? I bought this phone specifically for Yahoo messenger and I've gotten to use it only once before it crashed. Thanks in advance.

My phone just stops after 10'48" of conversation every call. I'm very confused and wish someone would give me an explanation (maybe it happened to you and can help me understand why...)

I'm trying to bluetooth to sync up with another Motorola V551 and a V600 and it won't detect the devices. Yet the V600 and the V551 can find eachother.

Any ideas why?

I was wondering. Does the phone have to be open to use the speakerphone? Or can you have the clamshell closed to use it? I hated that feature on the V600. Thanks! I am trying to decide between the Sony Z500 and this phone. Any imput would be appreciated.

Does any 1 know how to unlock ringtones from a motorola phone like the v505 and the v551. I am wondering this because I need to transfer them to my new phone and I don't want to buy them again so if I get them unlocked I can transfer them easily.

i just purchased the v505 and would like to take advantage of its ability to play mp3s as ringtones. i would like to connect directly to my computer and compose the tones myself because of the high prices of the ringtones when bought through the phone. what type of usb cable or software is needed?

Until recently I had no problem connecting via bluetooth and transfering files to the bluetooth exchange folder. Recently I will try to send a file and it will connect, transfer the file, and at the very end it will say "Failed, Connection Interrupted" and it will be unable to move the file.

I called Motorola and they said I should go buy Mobilie phone tools at a nearby store. I don't buy that b/c I was transfering files with no problem before. Does anyone know what is wrong?

Alright, tried to use the Yahoo Im feature one time and it came back with "Application Error" as the response. Thought perhaps it was an internet glitch so i jumped on the pc and sure enough my yahoo im was a ghost which was quickly dispelled once I logged on through the pc. However, I keep getting the application error message whenever I try to go to yahoo im on my system. any thoughts?

getting my v525 in a couple of days but wondering.... since the phone has bluetooth... is it necessary to buy a USB cable to download a ringtone from my computer to this phone? Or can I connect to my computer through bluetooth and download the created MP3 ringtone that way? Thanks
