Sending mp3 ringtones

I tried sending one to another phone (Samsung E715 and Motorola V600), and the playback quality wasn't as good as the original. Is it a V300 issue or a multimedia messaging problem with T-Mobile?

GPRS connection speed

I have a USB cable connecting my phone to my laptop and using it as a modem to connect to the internet. I'm running T-Mobile internet service as my provider. It says I'm connected at 115.2 kbps. How is my connection speed listed as that high? Is it just the phone that has a better connection speed than a Sierra aircard, which is supposed to only connect at 56K?

Memory full

I'm trying to use iMelody to compose a ringtone, but my phone says the memory is full. I'm currently using 2331 Kb of a possible 4705Kb so I have 2374 Kb free. Is the free space delegated for a specific number of ringtones, pictures, and picture messages or is this an error with the phone?

multiple numbers per name?

I'm attempting to create phonebook contacts with multiple numbers, but whenever I add on another number, it creates a duplicate contact with the same name and 2nd number! Am I doing something wrong?

v300, v400, v600 all being recalled

Have you seen ridiculously cheap prices on the phones? Its probably because they are DISCONTINUED! They had software issues so motorola recalled them...who the hell would want them anyway? THE DESIGN SUX AND ITS HUGE
If u want a motorola go for the e398 🙂
or ofcourse the SE k700i or their cheaper version k500i 😉

V600 Vs V300

This is for anyone whom was awaiting the release of the V600 and like myself could not wait any longer and went with the V300,...
I'm here to say, you choose the better phone.
I just had a chance to use the V600 and started to compare the two,.. first off, I have no idea why this phone was delayed,.. the phone set-up is exactly the same, menus, camera, most features,.. the only main differences between the two is fact that the V600 is bluetooth and it can play Video. ( not that big of a differnce) When I went online from both phones and started to download ringers from the same site,.. the V300 downloaded the ringer faster,.. the V300 speaker is louder ( only by a little), the V600 lags while trying to navigate through menus, AND t-mobile...

Faceplates & Pictures You have all taken!

Hi, I am new to the V300 I have currently upgraded from the Nokia 8390 to V300!

I am purchasing faceplates on ebay to change the look of the phone, but im wondering if anyone else has done this yet? I would love to see what the phone looks like with different faceplates! Im a little skeptical about this V300 b/c I dont like the shape of the external Caller Id screen.

Also, im wondering who the pictures come out? are they good or crappy quality? (I just recieved mine, and im giving it a good charge b4 I turn it on).

I would love a link, or something to see what the pictures come out like, and also I really want to see what the phone looks like with the new faceplates!

Can someone send me some pix?

v300 browser capabilities?

I recently upgraded my contract & got a v300, set up a wap section on my website. I was able to view html pages that I had created with thumbnail links to larger images, mp3's & games just by entering the url. I then took my phone in to be repaired a few weeks later & my software was upgraded at the same time, since then I have'nt been able to connect to my site & when I phone Motorola support, they told me that the v300 has never been able to view html sites & that it must have been luck or some freak bug in the previous software. Has anyone else been able to browse html sites, does the phone have this capability or is my service provider intentionally blocking this feature.

Outlook sync capabilities

How are this phones Outlook (and not outlook express :-) ) sync capabilities?
Can it sync contacts and calender entries? Easily & completely - including notes etc?

And how does it compare to the Samsung SGH-E715? I have posted the same question in the Samsung SGH-E715 forum too...

Thanks in advance!

using a froeign SIm in V300 (T-Mobile)

Hey there. I had bought a T-Molibe phone and have the motorola v300 handset. Currently i am in India. I had spoken to one of T-Mobile's Customer Care people that i needed to use a foreign chip in my phone when i will be in India. Well, he gave me an email with the unlock code and stuff. Now i am using an Airtel connection. The problem i am facing now is that i am unable to use the MMS and WAP servies provided by this Airtel company. Even when i have removed the T-Mobile chip and put in the Airtel one, it keeps showing me the T-Zones option. I talked to the Customer Care of Airtel and they say that i need to speak to T-Mobile to first "Remove" Tzones to access the WAP and MMS servies of their connection. There is something called "Masala ...

Motorola V300 GPRS & T-Mobile

I have a Motorola V300 that I'm using with T-mobile (just switched from Sprint) and noticed that the GPRS icon at the top of the display never comes on when I'm accessing Tzones.

T-mobile told me that if I'm using Tzones then GPRS must be being used, otherwise it wouldn't work and I wouldn't be able to accessing the web, email etc.

But... I'm wondering why the phone isn't telling me its using GPRS. Does my browser have the wrong connection info, is this a phone bug, programming problem or what?
