Text messaging timestamp problem

A review by 'mariersteve' said that the text messaging timestamp problem was fixed really easily... anyone know how to fix it?

(The incoming messages have the wrong timestamp - I think it's using GMT instead of the local timestamp)

Thanks!

LG VI5225 ringtone formats

Hello - I would like to create original ringtones for the LG VI5225. Can someone tell me what file formats it supports. This phone does not have USB, so I will need to upload it to a site and then download it, probably through text messaging. Any hints on how this happens are appreciated too.

Which is better LG 5450 or 5400?

I was looking into both of these phones and they both sound great but I was wondering if one is slightly better or worse.
Which one should I buy?

Backlight

I am considering buying a LG-VI5225. Can someone tell me what color the backlight is on the keypad - blue or green?

Thanks.... 😎

pointless and outdated

Okay. This phone is soooo stupid in my opinion. It's a waste of a phone. It's features are outdated and are lower than the older 5350. Many people say that the 5350 had problems, but my friend's family has 3 or 4 of them (Sprint had a buy one get one free sale of them a while ago). They ALL work seamlessly, but then are just a little bulky. Comparing the older 5350 with this new VI5225, the 5350 is much better in almost all areas. Let's start with the screen. While the 5225 has a slightly larger screen, it's still STN and had 4,000 colors. The 5350 had a smaller screen, but had 65,000 colors. Believe me, the amount of colors matter alot. I have the Toshiba VM4050 and it has so many colors (262,000 to be exact), and that makes the screen sooo...

VI 5225

I had heard rumors that sprint gave up on LG after the 1010 recall and the 5350 being such a piece of crap. But the LG 5400 has been given the "VI" designation following their new (and in my oppinion uber-lame) naming scheme. The VI for vision (VI660), the RL for ready link phones, the VM for video mail phones. My question is, why has the 5400 camera-less phone been given the designation that would appear to be one step closer to release, when the more advanced 5450 camera phone, which has been in the works since before the price drop on the LG5350 a year ago, has not been given any two letter code. What would they use for "Camera Phone" anyway? They couldn't think of anything for the A620. I'm guessing PM for picture mail, since VM means vi...
