Samsung SCH-A690

After glancing at the new Moto V65 (its about time we got a color screen V60), I'm thinking the A690 is gonna have some competition. Right now everyone who has push to talk has motorola; unless Samsung gets their phone out on the market fast, noone will want to switch brands when they upgrade to color screen. Personally, I think three things are holding consumers back from doing push to talk on a personal, non-business usage. 1)Price. The only P2T phone for Verizon is $200 on a 2 year contract, noone wants to spend that much for a black and white screen when they can get a camera phone cheaper. 2)Monthly service. No family plan. Whats up with that? Customers are looking for the best value to get their whole family hooked up. At $60 per phone...

I work in a store that sells verizon phones and accessories, and on my most recent shipment I recieved a clear plastic holster labeled for the A690. My accessories are private label, not verizon branded, so that means to me that the phone is near release if we are already carrying the goodies. Usually when a phone comes out it takes us about a month to recieve the accessories. I hope this means we will carry the phone, but since the company motto is "accessorize America" we may just be carrying the accessories.

It looks like this is designed a lot like the a530...those of you who have seen it, is that true? I love the a530! And I'm jonesin' for a cool PTT like this one, if they incorporated a little bit of the a530 in this, I'll be even more excited! Just wondered if anyone knew...thanks!

i talked with a few cs reps, one was tech. and found out the phone isnt coming out for awhile, aroung june/july!!! its been sent back for failing software test again, but he said there will be a motorola ( i think candybar type) e810! comming befor the samsung. but as we all know everthing is subject to change!!!! so i am going to nextel where i know exactly what iam getting!!! so good luck with verizons ptt, it needs it!!!

who out there has seen and used the samsung phone????? whats the sounds like??? whats the color screen look like???? how loud is the speaker phone???? whats the price going to be???? and the most important when it really coming out????????????????????????????????? please sombody answer these and ill name my first born after you!!! lol!!!!! please

Does anyone know if you are going to be able to switch covers for this phone? It only shows black on here, but the verizon rep said it comes in silver? Anyone know?

All they need to do is add a camera like in the LG VX6K. Or better yet just make that one with PTT.

🙄 I would like more info on this phone right now vzw only has 1 ptt phone and i hate bw screen. this phone offers all the features of the t730 and i love that phone but would like a ptt phone . when is this phone coming out and how can i get one!

Some testers have reported screen is not clear and speakerphone does NOT have enough volume. Can anyone verify this?
