Dust behind the screen

Got my slider few days ago and since I don't like belt clips I carry the phone in my pocket all the time. Today I have noticed when screen saver is on (digital clock) I can see some spots of "dust" on inside of the screen and I don't know how to take it out. It really bothers me. Is there any way to take the phone apart to clean inside of the screen or I'm just going to have to put up w/ it? Also I'm not sure if it's only my phone but sliding part is really easy to open. When phone is closed you just have to push it a bit and will opet where to completely lock it you have to push it harder. Is this normal or what? Any help is appreciated.

Thx

Help I can't Decide

😲

Hi I can't decide whether to buy the Slider or the Nokia 3586I. The phone I have now is the vox 8500 which was a very very bad buy not even a year old and I have to have it replaced. The question I have if anyone can help is that the ringer volume on the slider is loud enough than the Nokia 3586I or the same? Does anyone know.

Thanks 🙂

time problems....please help!

Since daylight savings time occurred, my slider phone has not set itself to the correct time. And I've searched and searched but I cannot find a place to change the time in my phone. Maybe I'm just stupid...but could someone please help me anyways?

Quality of the Slider Phone

I bought the slider phone last friday and overall think it is a good phone. However, i noticed the loft soft key and the send button are noticeably lower and harder to press then the right soft key and the end button which has me wondering about the quality of the phone. Is this a rare case or are ther other problems with these phones as well??

SCHAABER

It seems that you are the one to answer the question. I would appreciate any info on how to take apart the phone to get to the magnets.

Thanks,

help with getting this phone

I currently have a 2 year contract with Verizon that started last April. I have the LG VX4400 and have had nothing but problems with it. I want to get the slider phone, but I am not able to get this phone without paying full retail which is $349.99. Any suggestions on how to get this phone before my 2 year contract is up without paying full retail?? I would appreciate any help here.

magnet conclusion

I took the magnet out, then the metal bar ,tried all the combos;by putting the magnet in you get the sound functions and the open and close functions as well. The bar by itself takes those functions away but allows you to use the phone while it is closed, which I prefer. Now my question is why is the bar there then, what function does it have?I left it in,to see if I notice a difference,I'll let you guys know what I find..Does the metal bar close a circuit or something, please someone more schooled on how this works please please respond,Im handy but not that bright. 😎

Slider phone...

I have gone through 4.count them 4 slider phones, all with seperate problems. This is getting crazy..from the speaker being staticy, to one slider having the top portion to EASY to open when i held it upside down. I think im the only person with these problems.

Text dictionary / Headset

I'm about to buy a new phone and I'm mostly encouraged by opinions re the Slider (apart from PhoneyPhon's bad luck :cry🙂.

I would like to know though if you can add words to the ezi dictionary, and if yes then roughly how many.

Also, when using a headset is it possible to answer a call using the button on the cable when the slider is closed. (But I don't mean by hardware changes, ie. removing the magnet.)

They're probably minor points but I'd appreciate any helps! Thanks...

Is this a good phone

I can't decide whether to get the slider phone or stay with my LG 4400. Is the Slider a nice enough phone to warrant switching phones??

Earpiece volume lower than VX6000!

For those of you interested in a phone with a loud earpiece volume, go for the LG VX4400 or VX6000, which is much louder than the SE47. I tested one out at the Verizon store today, and found most ringers are pretty loud, but didn't find the earpiece volume at loudest volume level to be anywhere near as loud as the two LG phones. My wife is hearing impaired, and I am sure that she'll find the LG phones superior to her needs. For everyone else, you'll have to decide how loud you like your phones. As for vibrate mode, I didn't check that out yet. Also don't like the fact that volume level for earpiece can only be increased or decreased while speaking to someone, as there are no side buttons on the SE47.

Kyocera Slider is at the Verizon Stores

I was in the Verizon store on saturday and they have this phone in the stores. I had one in my hand. They can't sell them until they are entered in inventory, which should be this week sometime. I'm in Tennessee.

magnets

Heres the answer ,cause I too read a post reguarding the magnets and the effects.1st you must totally dismantel the phone star screwdriver phillips tweezers.thumbtac.the 2 magnets are accross from each other on the front face plate insert the thumbtac and push them out,2 sided tape is what holds them in place. The effects are that you can now use the speaker phone while it is closed.howevr you must turn the phone off by pressing end..however tyhe phone is real cool closed and people really think its neat that Im speaking on such a small compact device.Any othe questions just ask

Vibrate

I went to the verizon store yesterday and was playing w/ this phone and noticed that the vibrate function was not that strong. I am in need of a new phone, i still have the LGTM510, and cant find one that has a strong vibrate function. I would jump on the Samsung 530s if it had a strong vibrate. Does anyone know if there are more than one vibrate level on the Kyocera SE47? If the one i felt was the only level you cant even feel it in your pocket.

Different Face plates

Did anyone purchase different face-plates on eBay and tried to install them on the phone. There are bunch of them available but they do not come with instructions. How hard is it? Does it work? ETC.

Any help is appreciated
