v60p exchange

hey all v60p haters, verizon is offing a free phone upgrade. i personaly hate this phone `since i bought it. one of my friends changed it and then i tryed to and was givein a hard time. even told one customer rep that i was going to leave verizon for nextel and he didnt care. then i spoke to a supervisor and she told me that ptt customers who are not happy with the v60p are able to upgrade to the v60s, or the lg 4500. and if they tell you no, all you ave todo is call 611 and ask for a supervisor. hope this helps people who dont like the phone....

Is the V60s going to be a "one run" phone?..

I called teh verizon store, and they told me thy might not be getting the v60s......Its only going to be a one run phone..and will be replaced with a color screen model..

I would hate to have ANOTHER horrible experience with Verizon(esp after the Audi 8900 Fiasco I just had)....

charging question

I have recently purchased a Motorola V60s for Verizon Wireless. I've noticed something unusual when I plug my charger into the phone. The ring style changes from "vibrate" or "vib&ring", to "loud" on its own. When I unplug the charger from the phone, it changes back to the initial ring style. This automatic change does not occur when the ring style is initially set to "silent" or "soft". Has this happened to anyone else? Can anyone explain why this occurs? Thank you for your response.

I have contacted Motorola about it. They were clueless, but they do recognize that it is a defective phone and recommend I take it back to the store. I will eventually do that, and hopefully find a non-defective phone. I was just curious.

New Push - To - Talk Phones

I was just wondering if there were going to be any different Push - To - Talk other than the Motorola v60p. It is not that I don't like this phone I just want something with a color screen & games on it

V60s Microphone

Since the Motorola V60s includes a speaker phone feature I'd like to know if that affects the performance when it's used as a regular handset. Specifically, is the microphone designed such that it picks up more room background noise?
I have received calls from people in noisy locations where their voice was almost drowned out by the background noise. These people were not necessarily using a V60s but it got me thinking about the microphone design because all callers don't have this problem. Ideally, I think that the phone should use a noise cancelling microphone design. This should be easy to do with a flip phone design where the mic is close to your mouth. However, this level of detail is never mentioned in the sales literature or the user...

Disabled-PPT v60P on a non-PTT account?

Anyone had any RECENT experience with adding a PTT-disbabled v60P to a non-PTT VZW account?

I read you could add it to an account early on, but VZW has been cracking down on it.

TIA...

CCM Desktop Station

Has anyone with a Motorola V60-series phone purchased this product? I have a V60s activated on Verizon and just purchased the OEM desktop charger and am appaled at the poor design of the unit. The CCM product looks great and I would welcome some feedback from people who own one.

Here is a link to the Desktop Station in case you are wondering what it is:

WE COOKED IT AND IT WONT DIE

ok so we called insurance to get a new V60P and they said we had to send them the old one.. so as a joke we said boy wouldent it be fun if we sent a boiled phone in the mail... so thats what we did. We cooked the dam phone in boiling water. about 2 hours later, the phone came back to life... vibrating around dancing like it was saying HA HA MOFoS u cant kill me ! 😲 WE WERE SOCKED ! so we boiled it again. . . THe process continued until we were 100% sure the phone was dead. This is by far the most rugged phone ive ever seen. IT has taken more Throws at walls then a handball... boiled in water and still comes back to life. WERE NEVER GETTING ANY OTHER FONE AGAIN.... WERE HOOKED ON THIS v60p

Fix for v60s not ringing

Hello,
1st time posting.

I have a way to stop the "Missed Call" problem.

I went into my local store 2day to try to find a v60s that did not have the problem. Some folks on other forums have said they have a phone without the issue, so I thought I might get lucky. We tried about 8 phones (all their v60s-es) and they all were afflicted, but I noticed something. It only happened when the phones were on the vibrate setting... I did the exchange anyway as one I tried seemed to have a louder speaker. But on the way home I got to thinking. I tried changing the "soft" ring tone to a vibrate setting and I could not produce the error (with the 8 times on/off-ing the speakerphone) Through some trial and error I found that if you switch the "key...

comparisons with .......

can anyone compare the LG 4400 &/or the upcoming LG 4500 with other verizon speakerphones re : 1) reception (esp. in bad pockets), 2) speakerphone volume, clarity, 3) battery life, 4) ring volume, choice/quality of choices, 5) any other thoughts.
so far i'm considering the other available models : the motorola v60s and the audiovox 8600 or are any others (samsung ?) coming out soon ???
thanks, pete 😳

V60p or V60s and data

I'm interested in using a V60s with a National Access plan, but apparently the Mobile Office doesn't work. Has anyone tried to make the V60p work with mobile office. With Snapsync?

thanks
