Motorola MPx200

I'm looking for any credible information regarding the Motorola Unlock codes. I have an MPx200 that I can't get unlocked anywhere - all websites in that space can't currently provide Motorola unlock codes for the MPx200 and it's making me crazy. Anyone have an idea when / how I can get this phone unlocked?! Thanks.

Recently I added some contacts via Outlook and then synced the phone and computer. When the contacts call me their name doesn't appear on the external display, just the "incoming call indicator".

My guess is that I'm not putting the phone number in the way it displays on the phone and using characters such as - and ( or ).

Anyone know how to solve this problem?

im using active sync.i have tried to install iTunes on my mpx200 and it simply wont work i hav tried placing it in the accessories folder and wen i open it it says it is not a valid Windows CE application.also wen i try to install files by opening them on the pc the dialog box that prompts you to install the application on the phone flashes up on the phone screen for a second then goes away.i am new to this any help is greatly appreciated.steve

I was told today by an AT&T rep that the MPx200 will soon have a software update which will allow it to support the GSM 850 frequency? Could that be possible?

Also, when SmartPhone 2003 becomes available from Microsoft, will it be "downloadable" to the phone to be updated?

Lastly...did anyone get the voice recorder/voice dialer to work with the jog-dial yet. Mine does not work, and I was told that this was a Smartphone2003 feature?

☹️ i bought a Mpx 200 this afternoon, but when my girlfriend called me, i found she could not hear me very clearly, the sound volume on her side is pretty low, but it's ok on my side. the problem dispeared when i used headset, and speakerphone.
can anybody help me out?

I’m having a serious problem.
I can’t read, write or send messages from my Motorola MPx200 .

When a new message is received I can’t read it. When I try to nothing happens ?
When I push “New message” (in inbox, in sent post, in deleted post etc.) nothing happens?

I don’t know what to do and I don’t know were to reset the phone or where to get updates for the standard programs. Can anyone help me?

Hi, I just got an MPX200. Is there a backlight for the keypad? The keys on my phone don't light up when the phone is opened. Does anyone know how to turn the keypad backlight on? I've tried just about everything. Thanks.

How do you plan on entering data without a touchscreen? I am looking for a new phone and only have three requirements: MP3, touchscreen, and compact size. Anybody have any suggestions.

I just recently bought one of these, very cool phone, but I have to charge it just about daily. Has anyone else noticed any similar battery issues, or did I get a bad phone?

Does anyone know if you can listen to MP3s while the phone is closed or if it needs to be open. The reason I ask is because I am looking for a phone with plenty of storage, a good browser, and a good MP3 player-in addition to a good phone. I have the nokia 3300 but it won't support SD only MMC so thats getting returned, but I like the ability to play mp3s and aac files.

HI all when i first got the mpx200
I used to get a tree view under my programs called file manager,where i could see prog installed and weather it was on the phone memory or memory card.I have since done a master reset and now I dont have that view and cant seem to find a place to view info stored on memor card.....? any suggestions/ideas

Is this upgradable to SmartPhone 2003?

In the "User Reviews", user "localbuzz" said that he found a Wi-Fi card for the MPx200. I can't seem to find one. Does anyone know what he was talking about or can you send me a link?

Have you purchased an MPX200 through AT&T wireless, been treated poorly and are now considering, or have, left AT&T for another provider? If so, what has been your experience?

Right now I have 6 months completed on a 24 month contract; they are billing me at a different rate than promised, adjusting the bill for the different rate, then adding in charges that still push the monthly bill above what I was originally told it was going to be.

On top of that, the mic went dead on the phone I got for my wife under this national family plan, so she has to use the ear bud/mic combo. AT&T won't replace this 6 month old phone unless I pay them a $24 processing fee.

All-in-all this has been a pretty nasty experience for me. If I had known A...

I'm looking for a phone that will bring over all the information from "contacts" with Outlook, including the 'notes' section. So far, I cannot confirm with anyone.

Is anyone using this phone and sync'ing with Outlook, and specifically, 'contacts'? I'd like to know if it truly brings over all info or not.

I currently use the ClipOn Organizer for my old StarTac and love it, because it sync's like a Palm, and is easy to use.

According to various internet sources and a motorola salesperson, the mpx220 is coming out within the next couple of months and will finally have the features the 200 should have had in the first place, like bluetooth, camera, and will run on the 2003 OS instead of the '02 version it currently is installed in the mpx200.

The only point of contention is whether ATT will exclusively support this phone since it recently came out with mpx200 in Oct. of '03. Either ATT will need to sell all the previous (obsolete) mpx200's still out there, or there has been talk that T-Mobile might be picked to succeed ATT and exclusively offer the phone since they already sell the v300. That would protect ATT's mpx200s and still allow Motorola to mov...
