Watch TV using Time Warner Cable app

Owners of the iPad used to be able to lord the Time Warner Cable application over iPhone consumers who were not able to view television shows through their phone. However, Time Warner has now made the app accessible for iPhone. Article source:Watch TV using Time Warner Cable app

So?

Verizon FiOS has had their version of this app for BOTH the iPhone and Android for months now. In fact, the FiOS version can be accessed from anywhere there's an internet connection.

Good idea

Let's hope they don't patent it because I'd like to be able to do this at other stores too.

Hmmm

With these kind of decisions it amazes me how this company is still in business. You don't pass up the iPhone. You don't. Love it or hate it, it sells.

This company will be Big Red's in a few years anyway so who cares. Moving on....

Yellow screens, battery problems, Siri issues, oh my!

I find it interesting that there isn't more of an uproar on the internet or in the news. There have been screen issues, battery shortages, and now this whole thing with Siri. Does anybody else get the feeling like Apple wasn't really ready to push out a new phone, but felt pressured to release a new product just to handle the masses? It also seems like it's just a weak attempt to catch up with what every other company has been doing with Android. Sure, the 4S has great features and stuff, but it'd be really nice if it all "just worked", like Apple claims it should.

Here's the thing: Problems like this HAPPEN. Every technology company, every electronic developer, every single one of them will have problems and issues. It just happens. That...

Correction.

C Spire offers post-paid (contract) and pre-paid services.... and they aren't competitors as they do not service the same areas....

IPhone

I don't know why so many people see this as bad. It doesn't matter how many IPhones would sell if they are not able to be obtained at a price that would make them profitable. It was never said that they would never carry the IPhone, it WAS said that Apple's "terms were unacceptable from a risk and profitability standpoint". If you can't make money on it, then it makes NO sense to offer the product.

I can't help but notice

That there isn't 1/10 the level of outrage or coverage in the tech media over this as there was over the most recent RIM outage, nor is there much outrage over the fact that the alleged 'killer feature' of the iPhone 4S has experienced frequent problems since its debut...

One might think that there is a double standard in the tech media when it comes to Apple products or something..... 😲

Boy off to as bad of a start as the I-Phone 4 antenna issue. But they still sell millions :-) gotta love it.

over in the "Revision to Square App Allows for Contactless Payments" discussion:

What kind of report is this?

So from my understanding is that they havent done anything that wasnt done in the Android version of the Card Case....

Why are we reporting that suddenly (at least this is how the article is written) that the iPhone has some "contactless payment" options, when it doesnt. None of this is NFC and certainly nothing embedded into the phone.

Square is great, believe me, I know people at that company who work on tech, and I have the product myself, but even with all that, I still dont fully understand why anyone would create Card Case and not tell us how it works. They should have just invented the alternative incoming and outgoing payment method though NFC and made THAT "Card Case". Just my thoughts.

Bull****!

I installed the latest version of iTunes to my Windows 7 today and downloaded the iOS 5. Every time I try to install the OS 5, it says there's a problem with restoring my iPhone so I'm not able to upgrade. What the ****? Apple is overpriced, made us wait for many MONTHS for this, and now after all the hype I'm not able to upgrade? This is ****ing bullshit and I have not been this pissed in a very long time. Why am I having this issue??

Oh, the Irony!

CDMA customers have more freedom with their handsets than GSM customers?!?!

What kind of world are we living in? Oh yes, the USA 😲 ... where we "rethink possible".

So will Sprint customers be able to just pop in an active AT&T SIM card and use the GSM network whenever they want?
