Price Gouging

The reason verizon is charging so much for the I600 is cause they like to price gouge thier customers. 649.00 is a lot of dough.....

i600 now available!!!!!

The i600 is now available as an upgrade over the internet. I looked under ZIP 95062 and the phone is there, It is $649 with no contract. If you want to see it you have to change the Zip to 95062 then log in to your account. At that point select upgrade phone. The i600 will be the last one on the list.

Any Day Now

I was at a verizon wireless center today and was able to look at a "dummy" of the Samsung I600. Really cool!! The Manager said it should go on sale in about 1 to 2 weeks. Super looking phone!!

Say it isn't so...

I was in a Chicago Verizon store a little while ago. They had a sample mockup of the phone, though it was not working. The manager told me something troubling. He said that Verizon only planned to launch 3 new phones for the holidays of 2003... and they have already launched 2 of them! He said that the third and final phone is going to be a Kyocera phone and that there was no indication that the Samsung SCH-i600 would be released before the 1st quarter of 2004. Has anyone heard anything to disprove this terrible rumor???

Literature and demo in stores...how much longer?

I checked with my local store today and it looks like they have the literature and a non-working demo of the SCH-i600 in stores now.

Of course they could not give me a release date, does anyone know off of past experience what the time frame would be in this situation? I can't imagine it would be too much longer now. The rep did say that given his previous experience it could be anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks now.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Phone scoop the 3rd Quarter is over.

I am a Verizon customer and was looking forward to upgrading my LG-510 to the Samsung SCH-i600 Smartphone but have not seen it at the Verizon store yet, although Phonescoop.com has report a 3rd quarter release. If anybody has heard any more information about the SCH-i600 release date let me know. 🙂
