I must have a lemon.............

I read the reviews and it's like I have a different phone, on mine wireless does not work anymore, the phone ringer enables and disables itself, the motion sensor even after adjustment still lags esp. when getting a call. The thing is hard to hold on to though I haven't dropped it yet. I think it's going back before my 30 days are up and I'll go back to my reg. flip, nothing, Samsung Gleam until something better comes along. I wanted something I did not have to change my ancient local plan for and that means PDA or Blackberry.
I'm taking it to local store today to try to remedy it and when thinking of exchange I remember the re manufactured phone they gave me the last time I tried a new (Razr) phone and it failed.

Mono Bluetooth

I was trying to listen to a podcast on my mono bluetooth headset, and it would turn off automatically after about 30 seconds. I have no problem using the stereo bluetooth to listen to the same thing. Is there some issue with using mono for anything other than phone calls. I never had any problem doing this with my MotoQ?

dang my storage is gone

Dang. No the My Storage folder is missing from my phone. I added an 8gb micro card and it shows up as Storage Card. But, when i look into Explore in Micro Sync, the My Storage is no longer there. Could it have some other name?

Phone storage

This phone has 8gb...is that internal, or is there already a card in the phone?

The reason I ask is that I was moving music into My Music and I ran out of memory...after 4 songs. Is there a separate place to store to use the 8gb.

None of the music software finds music that is store in My Music. Instead, you have to use the file explorer...is there a better way than this?

I think these issues are Win Mo issues

Anyone know of a cheap software to sync iTunes playlists with this phone? The media player on the phone is sorely lacking in functionality.

Stand alone GPS? Omnia or Touch Pro?

Does this phone have stand alone GPS, without using Verizon or Cell sites?

I have the Touch Pro, but I'm thinking of sending it back to get this phone.

Caller ID Issue: Can barely see whos calling

Ok... this is a pretty damn good phone (specially in comparison to everything else VZ has to offer)...

but now im having a very annoying/major issue.

When someone calls, I can BARELY see the caller id info. The caller-id box is so low (ie. cloes to where the "Phone" and "Main Menu" boxes are on the screen) that i can barely see whos calling. Is anyone else facing the same problem? Is there a setting I can mess with? HELP HELP!!

Also.. How can i add the messages option into my widgets and how can i take some of them away (im referring to the thing on the side)

touch screen locking during phone calls

Anyone able to keep the screen from locking during a phone call? I repeatedly have to press the mouse button "active key" to use the keypad on the touch screen because it locks up after a few seconds. It is annoying when I am retrieving voice mail.

Touch Wiz

First off I do not own this phone yet, I only played with it for a short time in the store.

does the touch wiz bar on the left side of the screen act as a quick launch menu or, do you have to drag the icon's on it to the screen?

Hacks Yet?

Does anyone know if there is a way to change the phone and main menu hot keys on the home screen? No need for the phone to to be there when you can just push the call button right below it.

How is your Omnia Battery doing?

I purchased my Omnia on 12/8 and today is the 4th day of use.
So far, I am pleased with the battery performance.
The Omnia has performed 39 hours to 48 hours of service before there is a need to recharge.
And I have been giving it some fairly heavy usage during these 4 days.
I am wondering how this compares to others. Is this battery service time about the norm?

over in the "Video Tour: Samsung Omnia" discussion:

XM radio?

I'm SERIOUSLY considering this phone to replace my Motorola Q.
Can you browse to www.xmradio.com and listen to your xm radio account there?
Like on a regular pc browser?
Thanks!

Data plan is like having a v8 Mustang or Camaro

If you want a PDA phone it's like buying a car. You buy a 4 cylinder for the gas mileage and the savings it can get you. But if you want the feeling of being slammed into the seat when you race through the gears you get the "big dog V8" Buy what you are going to use and use it. If you don't need a pda phone don't buy it. There are alot of touch screen phones out there that can do most of the samethings. Yes it's nice to be able to sync the out look to the phone and at present the cell companies have us by the b*lls.
I am as guilty as most, always want the next best toy. I love the Dare and really could use the Omnia or the i770 or the Storm but not right know. Just can't pull the triger on $100.00 extra amonth.
This is my opinion and tak...

Typing frustration?!

I love the Omnia, but I'm getting very frustrated with the typing. I have to type a fair amount for work and text. Anybody have any ideas or suggestions. Is anybody else having a hard time typing on the Omnia?

I keep hitting the wrong letter and or missing. It's not anything wrong with the screen, just the on-screen keyboard is frustrating.

Question for anyone coming from a non-touch screen

I am using the Voyager, and I love it, but still feel that the Omnia looks like a worthyupgrade....

To those texters who've come from a non touch, how would you rate the transition to touch only?

Thanks!

Non Verizon version of phone

I'm thinking of purchasing the Omnia i900 through a website. It's not the verizon version but I will be using verizon as my service provider. Will that mean I won't be able to use the verizon 3G network? Anything else I need to know if it's not a verizon version (will I not have certain features)?

Omnia and the new Connect Plans

Would the connect date plan be sufficient or does Verizon require another data plan all together. Thanks
