Samsung Omnia i910

I have an i910 with Verizon, and through activesync I can sync up my appointments, tasks, and all, and through Windows Live I can sync my contacts and my e-mails.

The only problem is when I sync recurring appointments, they move back 6 hours (only on the Omnia's Calendar) from the time they are set for. Doesn't matter if I set the appointment in the Omnia or on my PC, the time changes on the Omnia, but stays correct on the PC. Anybody have any idea how to fix this?

I have had my omnia for about 40 days. I love the phone for texting, email, and Internet but I may get rid of it if I can't improve the volume. Callers have difficulty hearing me and I have difficulty hearing them. Yes I have the volume turned all the way up.
Can anything be done to improve volume????

I am planning to buy the omnia in febuary but am not sure if there is data charges added to your monthly bill like with blackberry phones. If anybody has this or knows if there are or arent could youplease tell me. Thanks

Verizon told me that the Wifi only works if I have the internet plan through them?

I was hoping to buy this one and use the wifi and NOT the Verizon internet plan (I wouldn’t use it enough to warrant the extra expense)

I have to say hands down, the storm is a much better phone than the omnia. Now dont get me wrong, the omnia is a good phone, but the interface sucks and u have to basically use the cursor mode or the stylus to function the device. Plus there were many applications on there that I would never use. So i will stay w my black berry storm

Hey there, I am really looking to upgrade to a smartphone. I am trying to find the best one and was hoping this omnia was it but wanted your knowledgable opinions. First, I want a smartphone so I can sync my gmail which is routed to my outlook on my personal PC. I want to use this as more of a personal assistant that I can get my email and have my contacts and calendar from my outlook. I will not sync it to work and I will not use it too much to update any spreadsheets or word doc’s or pdf’s but would probably need to view a few. I do want the wifi and not sure if the issues w/ the wifi have been fixed, I recall reading that you cant download the app store and use the wifi? I also want to be able to view movies on it and use ...

im not sure what is going on with this omnia i have but everytime i look at my storage memory its less and less. im not downloading anything onto this phone at all.. its down to about 13.84 mb now..... does anyone have any idea whats wrong with it? the last time i did a hard reset and dont want that to happen again.... thanks for all your help!

No disrespect to this site or anything, but this site provides you with everything you need to know about the Samsung Omnia. Please check it out to learn all the ends & outs about this phone.

Samsung-Omnia.org has members from all over the world. So, majority of the people on this site have had the phone for months (Europe Release).

Help! Since i've switched to the Omina I no longer receive my text msgs when they are sent to my # @vtext.com 😕 I assume its because the Omnia is a pocket pc .. is there a fix to this? Is there a different address I need to be using?

Any info on this would be appreciated! 😉

Is there any way to have just the alarm ringer on and everything else silent? I have tried a few different things but I can't seem to get it. Please advise. Thanks.

Is anyone else having troube with the "align screen"? I am trying to align mine but when I click on the target, it does not react.

Is there a way to boost the volume for alert sounds and such on the Omnia i910?

So If I plug in the usb cable to my work (on ms exchange) computer, after the phone synchs once ActiveSync then reports its no longer connected...

It does the same on my personal computer. unplugging it, and plugging it back in, is 50/50 successful on it reconnecting and synching again.

Is anyone else seeing this? it's driving me crazy, but really don't want to get it swapped out if its something simple to fix.

Does anybody know a loophole to getting this phone without having to upgrade to a data plan with verizon? I like all the features it has but I dont have a need to go online on my phone and no other phones appeal to me like this one has. HELP anybody please!!!

I am running out of memory in "my device" but have plenty of room in "my storage".

1. Has anyone tried moving a program from one to the other? Is it as simple as opening windows explorer and copying and pasting the program as needed? Or should you unstall and then reinstall in the correct folder? I am not sure if all the registries and needed files will move over properly with a copy and paste.

2. When I go to the "remove programs" program, it is empty. There isn't an option to remove my programs in it. Has anyone else noticed this? Do you remove programs by deleting the program files using windows explorer?

Did anyone find a way to change the Widget screen yet ( add remove ect. ) If not I cant belive it how easy would it have been for verizon to let us change it 🙄 -

I'm looking for a good keyboard download and a sync app. The current Omnia keyboard is a little cramped for large fingers. I found a few keyboard downloads but they do not allow for screen rotation. Also, are there more widgets out there we can download?

I had the voyager a few weeks ago and returned it due to a persistent echo on the callers side. Very irritating!!! Sound on my side was kinda muffled. Anybody want to say anything about the call sound quality? If its bad, i may just go with the Blackberry, but really like the 5mp camera and fm radio as I go out on fires during the summer.
