Accessories

I just received my Lotus today and I absolutely love it. Does anyone know where I can find a nice case for this phone? I have looked all over the place and there doesn't seem to be a case specifically made for this phone yet.

Quesiton about the bult in web browser...

Has anyone found a way to make this thing scroll horizontally on a full HTML page? I would like to read some webcomics on my phone sometimes and I can't scroll to see more than one panel usually with the built in browser, and Opera Mini doesn't zoom in far enough for any text to be readable. Any suggestions?

about those ringtones

say, i just switched to sprint for the purple lg lotus after being with at&t since the beginning of time... i am having trouble with the ringtones, anyone else experiencing this? i select a ring tone for everyone, and then you can specify for certain people a special ring tone, i've done this, but began getting calls and the ones i did not select as special are getting stupid tone 1 instead of stupid tone 4 like i selected. i am wondering if this is because all my contacts were transferred from my sim card from at&t or if i am just an idiot, and can't find the place where it says, "hey, really make this my ringtone for everyone unless i gave the selected few 'morning walk' ok?" i'm so frustrated. the first thing i do on a cell phone is pick...

data and voice?

dose anybody now what phone I can use for using the internet, navigator, sprint radio or tv and getting a phone call when someone calls? Smart phones work good with that but I like regular flip phones with mobile banking, picture messaging, mobile backup, etc. I am using sprint navigator a lot for traffic, points of interests, and do not want to miss phone calls. I like the phone, but went back to q9c

Why no mention?

Probably the biggest features of the new one click phones is the threaded text messaging interface.

I didnt see a single mention of it in the review, yet thats a feature that people clamor for on phones all the time.

Maybe a quick edit is in order?

Video Help

In the specs of this phone it says it will play mpeg-4 video files. I've tried loading them using the mass storage option, but always says "there is a problem playing the clip". I have tried multiple files and all have the same result. Every thing else I have transfered has worked fine. Any one know whats up?

This methodology for measuring signal strength is flawed

You've done it in one of your other reviews and it's a step down a slippery slope. You can't measure signal perforformance based off of signal bars shown on the handset, especially between different BRANDS and TECHNOLOGIES of handsets. Even if you are comparing the "bars" to other phones on the same carrier, manufactures don't use the same measures for displaying the true db (signal) counts. Just becuase a Sanyo shows 2-3 bars and a LG shows 1-2 does NOT mean the Sanyo is somehow pulling in a better signal. You need to access the debug menu on these phones if you want an accurate measure of the true signal they are pulling in. This way of categorizing signal strengh

The vault test was a much more practical means to measuring signal streng...

This is a good phone

I've spent a lot of time with the Lotus and this may be one of my favorite feature phones on any provider. Never thought I'd say that about an LG, let alone one on Sprint. The keypad is excellent, as is the battery life and sound quality.

Sprint's new home screen menu is a colossal step in the right direction, and I dig the widgets. The interface is surprisingly polished, especially for an LG phone.

Another major plus is the fact applications can be suspended in the background.

Just got mine

🙂 I just received my new Lotus and it is great! I tend to change phones about every 3 months to try out something new. Just switched from the Instinct, which I loved and still do but I was missing the keyboard a little so I thought I would try the Lotus out. The new One Click is pretty cool and customizable. Speaker for TV and Music is nice and loud. Camera takes nice pix! I may just have this one for more than a few months.

Cost?

I know the phone is going for $150 with a two year contract...does anyone know if the price will be the same or lower if we purchase this phone through Sprint's Upgrade program ($150 off the price of a new phone after 2 years of Sprint service.)

I lost my Samsung SPH A900 last weekend and would like to upgrade to the LG Lotus...any Sprint employees out there, in the know?

Email

I posted a review of the phone. Overall, I love the design of the phone.

Does anyone know how to change the email account settings after creating a new email account? The only way I have been able to change the settings is to remove the account and recreate it from scratch.

I am using 2 pop mail accounts on the phone and create the accounts using the "Other Pop" option.

Are there alternative email applications available?

Questions before i get it

I have the pink centro right now, and am thinking about getting the lg lotus...but i have a couple questions before i do....

Can you download ringtones from myxertones??

Does the web browser work good for myspace and is it fast? because when i had the rumor, it would always shut of and restart!

and....

Does it have the express or demand app? like the muziq and the centro does, like checking the movies times, weather and all that? because i love that and would like to get a phone with that option.

and can you customize the colors instead of having black backgrounds and all?

and is the picture caller id screen FUll and big?

Got mine Monday

Coming from an ic902 phone I really appreciate the qwerty keyboard. I like the phone, but two things; second day I had it a line showed up across my screen that won't go away, and sometimes the phone never receives the call when people call me. I tested it myself and got mixed results. Did anyone else encounter these things? Maybe it's an isolated incident. I plan to replace it this weekend. This phone is really nice other than that.
