BlackBerry Pearl 8130

Hey all,

I have just recently purchased a pair of BB Pearl's. I am searching for memory cards and don't seem to find clear info on what our phone takes. Does it support micro SDHC? I want to go at least 4gb but most I see are HC and I can't find if the pearl supports that. Does any one know what the max memory card size is? And if you cold let me know what you have (brand, size), how well it works, and what you reccomend.

I bought a blackberry pearl a month ago and have had little problems. Just last week it started to erase my call logs and text messages. I went to a sprint store and asked if they have any solutions. They said they didnt know of the problem so I called the lovely sprint customer care. I was told that the blackberry will automatically erase the call log and text messages when the battery reaches less than 50%. WTF! This makes no sense so I did some research on blackberry.com and noticed that they state the phone will erase the call logs and texts when the memory gets low. I had a treo before th bb and it would store my call logs and text from 6 months ago. How can this phone not have enough memory to store a call log and texts? I even h...

1. Is there any way to get the 8130 to make a noise when there is voice mail waiting for me? 2. Is there any way to turn off the vibrate every time an email is received? 3. When I select Loud for the ring volume I get vibrate instead. If I want my phone to ring with a ring tone I must select normal? I must be doing something wrong..... What is it? Is there to make the phone NOT show missed calls in the message area? It would be nice (for me, that is) if the message icon would only show text messages. If I want to see my call list, I just use that send key.

Hey guys.... I have a Sprint Pearl 8130 and while I am at work I use the wired stereo headset I have to listen to music. I work in kind of a loud place so when someone calls I have to unplug the headset and put the phone to my ear. My issue is that if I initiate the call with my headset and I find out its too loud to talk with the headset I disconnect it from the phone. When I try to put the phone to my ear and talk normally I get zero sound out of the handset and the mic is turned off. To get this to work I need to turn on speakerphone then turn off speakerphone then the phone works correctly. Is there any setting I can change to have it where the moment I pull the cord on the handsfree out it turns my phones mic and earpiece back on??...

would you guys consider the blackberry 8130 for verizon more of a men's or women's phone?

Is there a program to upgrade the Calender to use icons or colors to hi-lite personal and or work related events? Also is there a way to have special events show up more than just bolding the number of the day?

Just got the 8130 and am unable to load the User Tools on to PC. Running Windows XP and get the ERROR 1327. Invalid Drive: E:\ message. My CD/DVD drive is identified as D:\ . Any help would be appreciated.

Has anyone had trouble syncing with Outlook? I've had trouble with duplicate contacts and appointments. I've also had trouble with appointments that I input into the Blackberry calendar not syncing to my Outlook.

I was wondering if anyone knows how I can bring up pictures on websites when I am browsing. Pictures and videos don't come up on like utube or facebook and google searches. Is this even possible on the phone? If anyone could help that would be great!! Thanks!

Will the Pearl allow you to log into eBay and then view completed auctions? This is a make or break feature for me. I have yet to get a good answer from anyone at Sprint. They could not show me a working phone that would allow a log in into eBay. Is there someone on the forum that has used their Pearl to view completed auctions on eBay which means you had to be logged in? Thank you, Bill

Is it normal for the pearl/ball to become loose? I have only my phone for 3 weeks, and it is already feeling sort of loose and inaccurate then it was at first. Is this normal or a problem I should replace for the phone? Thanks

I've been reading about the Documents To Go update for Blackberry users and it requires handheld software version 4.5 and I was just curious if anyone knows how I can update to this version? I'm a Sprint customer if that makes a difference? Thanks

One...does it have the ablity to download ringtones?

Two...I am looking for something to upload and send to (similar to Palm Pilot) when I need to send documents such as grocery lists, forwarding e-mails, etc.

Three...I have a Moto Q right now. Will this be better as far as call quality or worse?

I have been trying to get the application loader on the desktop software to work for over a month and getting no where. I have tried the latest version 4.3 of the Desktop software and uninstalled and tried the older versions as well. I can download programs like Google Maps and such directly off the internet from the phone but cannot get software downloaded from Handango, or other sites to load using the blackberry software. Has anyone successfully loaded software on to a Verizon Pearl? Does Verizon's software keep you from installing?

Ok I went to this site and was wondering if anyone has downloaded games to their BB and if so do they really work? http://www.bplay.com/ Do they eat up alot of memory? Do you get to keep these games or do the expire after 90days?
