HTC Touch (CDMA) / XV6900

1. You can't put it on your shoulder and perform other tasks while talking.
2. The print is so small, there is no "touch" when dialing or choosing a contact, you have to use the stylus (probably a safety feature to MAKE you pull over while driving to dial)
3. The bluetooth just goes off all by itself frequently - bad if you're trying to use the bluetooth connection to your car or earpiece.
4. If you wear makeup, be prepared to wipe the screen off very often.
5. Frequent reset is required with a paperclip in a small hole in the bottom of the phone as the phone will not light up.
6. If you decide to take it back, be sure to keep the wrapper on the outside of the box. Even if it is defective and you've only had it for less than a mo...

Where can i get FREE mps music to save as ringers and how do i go about doing that? Can i save music from the sprint music store as ringers. Also, can I download my windows media player on to my phone.

I seem to get my touch to play any videos on youtube and i downloaded the files and followed the instructions to a T but i still cant get them to play, so other sites play now that did not before but not youtube, get error you either have javascript turned off or an old version of adobe's flash player" please help me in the right direction, thank you in advance

Is there a way to access the memory card when I have the phone connected to my computer? With my other phones it's always been just plug and play, but with active sync I can only access the main phones memory. This is my first WM phone so still trying to learn the ins and outs of it!

My phone rings with only half of the number displayed on my caller id. This is the second touch I have had with the identical issue. The only solution I have, is a soft reset. I hate to reset the phone everyday, and sometimes twice a day to resolve the issue. Any suggestions???

I am currently a sprint user and love the service. I have a crappy piece of junk flip phone and im ready to take advantage of some of sprints great features. I have never owned a smartphone and im ready to take that step 😁 . i looked at a couple and im really leaning towards the touch. i have read reviews and the forums but when it comes down to it i need a solid answer. my only real concern is the texting cause i go through like 2000 in a week...literally. so should i get this phone 😁

i heard there might be a way to throw in a WAV or MP3 file into the windows folder to change the sound notification for text messages?

i am left handed and am a little concerned about any customization or button complexity for a person who is left handed. If anyone has any insight please let me know.

does anyone know if the scroll bar can be moved from right to left as i am left handed and it would make things much easier

Can anyone confirm that the Good Mobile Messaging software works on this phone?

I am assuming it will since I use it now on my Q and both have the WM OS...

I am a new owner of the HTC Touch and can't find the Sprint music stations. I found the opportunity to purchase music but not the actual Sprint stations to listen to. Can you help!

Also, when putting a phone number in my contacts, does anyone know what the pause button would be. So if I was dialing an overseas number and wanted a pause before the phone dialed my calling card, what would that pause number or letter be?

Could someone please tell me how I can get my Touch to not always have its backlight on without shutting down external power--because I can't receive calls when the external power is off!!!???

I have gone into the backlight setting icon and can't seem to figure it out!!! I just hate that the phone is always lit up.

There is an alternative program developed. I am using it on my "Touch". Its not true MMS. It uses your email to send the pictures. You can and have always been able to send pictures via email, that come through to the recieving party as a text message with a link to the picture. For example, with Sprint users to send a pic to another sprint user, you send it to. (xxx)xxx-xxxx@pm.sprint.com. There is also a service called Ptkpix that you can use. (xxx)xxx-xxxx@ptkpix.com The picture will be sent to the reciever reguardless of their carrier. This program by No2Chem does it all for you. Just makes it easier than manually sending it by e-mail. Does anyone know how to make the Touch ring and vibrate at the same time?

When I bought my HTC Touch, some cute young Sprint girl told me the phone had built-in GPS. However, when I began playing with the phone I could not locate any apps that engage any kind of GPS. Then, I read that the HTC Touch IS GPS enabled, but until they push a software upgrade, it will not work.

Did the cute young girl sell me a bunch of B.S. or is GPS coming to this phone? If there is a software push, when will it be and what, if anything, will I have to do to begin using GPS?

I just purchased my HTC Touch phone and haven't researched completely, but when I receive or make a call and have the phone to my ear, my ear is constantly hitting functions on the touch screen. What do I do to lock out screen functions during a call?

I cannot get my phone to sync with my PC? I am having an issue with my version of Outlook. I don't really even plan on useing outlook... I have three apps that I downloaded to my PC: Happy Tapping keyboard, MMS App, and TCPMP. How do I get them from my PC to my Touch? Side note, does anyone know if the Touch can voice digit dial? Or a good voice/digit dial app so I do not need to add a voice tag to each of my contacts... Thanks
