Samsung SGH-A737 / SGH-A736

Hello,

I am using a Samsung SGH-A737 and there's one little thing that is unexplainable. Just yesterday, my family has decided to put out this thing where we can finally text, and it's unlimited texting a month. We all have the same plan, even me.

The problem I am having is, I am the only one that can't send or receive text message. I called in to see what was the problem but they said that the texting feature was also not blocked for me.

The only thing that can be sent to my text inbox is the "View my minutes." That is the only message I can get and my family tried to text me but I got nothing from them, any idea what the problem could be? Help will very much be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Anyone find a way to increase the font size in the default browser provided? On most websites it is so small it is unreadable.

Same goes for some apps/games I've installed.

Has anyone found an application that can upload files sucesfully and send as attachments?

OpraMini does not seem to work with this phone and just gives an error message about internet connection error, when I try to send the file through email.

Earlier reviews of this phone mentioned that it gets hot during use. I don't see it mentioned in more recent posts. Can anyone tell me if it is still a problem? Thanks!

Does anyone know how to improve the internal antenna on this phone?

It doesn't matter how many bars of reception I have, about every 4th word of mine gets dropped AND I'm always having to ask people to repeat themselves.

I know it's the phone because other AT&T phones don't have the same problem in the same places.

Otherwise I love this phone, but this is a terrible terrible flaw and I will have to get another phone because of it- I run my business using it.

I am thinking about buying this phone, but I am a bit confused after reading all the reviews as there are many inconsistencies.

For example, some people say the battery life is terrible, while others say they must charge it at least once a day.

Also, how is the sound, is it very low when not on speaker?

Lastly, does the internet button get pushed easily and connect you to the internet without your knowledge?

I appreciate anyone who can help me out, as my old phone may not last much longer 😉

I am trying to put music on my phone using a Mac, but it never pops up on the desktop, even though my phone says it is connected. Is it a compatibility problem or just operator error? Anyone else run into this?

For those of you that own this, what do you think of the voice quality of this phone? Are the calls loud and clear? Does it hold reception well? How does it compare in these categories with other phones you have used?

I had a Nokia 6102i that broke recently and am considering buying the Samsung A737. All I really need the cell phone for is to make and receive calls and send and receive the occassional text message. Those of you who own this phone, what do you think of it? Do you like it or not? I have seen reviews for this phone that said they really liked it. Any feedback would be helpful. Thanks in advance for the responses.

just bought phone. I have a micro sd card but no data cable. I see many web sites offering cable for about $10 but software not included. How would i get appropriate software? ATT currently out of stock for cable on their web site. Is software included when cable purchased through att? Thank you.

Is there any easy way to move contact info from old Motorola SIM (T-Mobile provider) to the Samsung A737? I though I could temporarily swap in the SIM card and it would read the contact info?

use your mp3s (whole songs) as ringtones on this phone and if so how....tried to figure it out....thinking its not possible

So I get that the battery life is not so great and that hearing on this phone isn't to great and the screen could be better so I have a ques....Why do I still want this phone? Are these problems bad or just could be better? 😕 🤨
