Sony Ericsson K850

I think, not sure, that SE never sold the S790a, they were only available via Cingular. I think SE has done this with some other phones too. Any possibility they'd do that with this phone? What's the reasoning behind that? I hope not, I'd like to see how much SE would sell it for. Either way, it should be available via 3rd party sites unlocked.

I have at&t and T-Mobile. I don't care who gets it, as long as one of them does.

Can anyone tell (in Layman's terms) if I should be excited about this phone? I have a w810i, and while this phone has a better camera(optical zoom?) and has a2dp bluetooth. Other than that is it going to be that much better? Thanks

I work for AT&T and saw this phone from a rep like 2 months ago and he said it was coming out the day after Thanksgiving. Now I know that phones usually come out on Tuesday and that delays are possible (N75 anyone?) but seeing as how the 810i is end of life and phonescoop says the 850 is coming late 4th quarter, Everything I heard seems to be lining up. I wonder what the price will be though? I would guess $199 after a $100 rebate or $450 outright. That's just me guessing though.

Unless Cingular picks up this phone the 3G wont work on there network. Only Cingular BRANDED phones have acess to the 3G network.

So im assuming cinguler/Att will pick this up.

i've never owed a se ph (or a flip/slider, only candy bar stle) and was looking fwd to the w580i due to the fm function so i cld jam all the time....needless to say with the reports of cracked keys and worn slider function i'm not puttin up the full retail doe to purch something that cant been seen in stores first....with that said i'm now researching this one....i spoke to an se rep once (before the w580i was released to at&t)that HAD this particular ph. she was in canada and said she loved it, didnt have any issues...so apparently some folk out there do own this ph and i wanted to know the dirt....whats the scoop?? what do you like, what do you not like, i wear glasses and also wanted to know the size of the display which is not listed on ...

i'm a bluetooth junky....i once owned a nokia 6682 that had the ability to listen to mp3's and other formats of music thru a bluetooth ear bud...not a stereo headset but a plantronics 640....all other devices i've tried the same headset with, it will not work, nor does the ringtone you have set play thru the ear bud, only a "tinkly tink beep"...anyone got the skinny on why or if this ph has the ability to do any of this listed above?? also i'm assuming the fm radio function will not be avail using bluetooth stereo such as the other se phs i've read about...correct??

so i know the k850 supports both forms of expandable memory, but does that mean i could potentially have 8GB of memory if i have both a 4GB microSD and 4GB M2 memory stick card?
is it possible to have both cards in there at the same time?
