i purchased a 4gb mini sd card for my 755...the problem is, when i put the card in the phone it sometimes reconizes it and sometims it doesnt. i try to format and rename the card when the phone sees its there but half way through it stops/freezes and the card isnt there anymore. any suggestions?
I see that you can buy the 755p from sites such as Letstalk.com for a good price online, or you can buy it directly from Sprint. I was speaking with a rep at the Sprint store today and he told me that there are people who have had a lot of problems with their online orders. Problems such as service plans and/or receiving their rebates. He even mentioned there is a class action lawsuit against LetsTalk.com and Wirefly.com. Have any of you who purchased your 755p online run into any of these problems? Are there any specific websites you would recommend buying from, or should I just go and get it directly from the store. Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
According to the video tour, it's the same old dialer application. Whatever happened to the phone dialer application that came on the Cingular Treo 680? It's so much more functional than the current/old dialer app.
If Sprint releases it with this dialer, it will be a great disappointment. Thoughts?
Also, still no built-in GPS? My Sanyo Katana even has full GPS capability.
According to the specs, it's also possible that the OBEX and/or FTP profiles have been removed from Bluetooth.
Sorry for my ranting but I have just not seen much innovation anymore from the Palm Treo.
Hello all! i've had my 700p for over a year now and its starting to fall apart at the seams so i'm itching for an upgrade, was looking @ the 755p after having found out the blackberry 8830 would prolly be a disappointment considering it would be lacking in alot of the features i'm accustomed to with the 700p... anyway... do we know if palm is planning on coming out with a new palm OS device anytime soon or should i just stick with the 755p? from what i can tell the answer to my question would be no, especially seeing as how they just released the 755 not too long ago... i just know you guys are in the know on alot of things so i wanted to run it by yall first 😁 any assistance would be greatly appreciated! and keep up the good work, this ... I am looking into getting a smartphone for the 1st time and was looking at the 755p... I want to know is this a good phone to have if you are a 1st time smartphone user? Or would i be better off getting the blackberry curve with at&t, my current provider ( was with sprint for 5.5 years).....thanks 🙂
I had a Treo 600 and 650 with Cingular. Just purchased the Treo 755p and joined Sprint. I have tried 2 different units and both have the same problem. Any contacts that were synchronized into the 755p from the 650 and are in the contacts database, come up as "UNKNOWN CALLER" when I receive a call from one of my contacts. Technical support and engineering cannot resolve this. We have tried every method of fixing and it was their decision to try a second phone.
I was on the on line technical support yesterday with Palm and they suggested adding 91 as a prefix, but as I thought, this does not allow an outgoing call to be made.
This is the only real problem I have had with the device, but it is a major problem.
