Just clearing a few things up
Hey everyone, I just got the M520 on Friday and I have to say it is in every way shape and form better than my V3M was. I highly recommend this phone. The menus are fast, reception is great, downloads are fast, the only downside I've seen is that not alot of apps have been updated to work with this phone and there's not a dedicated headphone jack. Anyways, I thought I'd shed some light on some of the other posts.
1. Yes, you can use zoom on the camera. Just not in 1.3 mode. You can set the resolution to high and use zoom up to 4x.
2. To send multiple contacts through bluetooth, go through tools>bluetooth>highlight device and click options>send contact...This way allows you to select multiple contacts.
3. Battery life. So far t...

m520 Live Search
I can't believe that Phone Scoop did not talk about the M/S Live Search feature on this phone. As far as I know, the m520 is the first non-pda phone to have this location based GPS service on it. Live Search is really cool, uses voice recognition and it works great on this phone.

Separate Samsung media player??
Most other Samsung phones have the [terrible, ugly, slow] Sprint music store, but also the standard Samsung media player to play content off your card (including videos). What gives on the m520? They tried hiding it in the tools menu in the upstage, but it was at least still there.

Well, I may be comming around.
After this review, I saw that this phone wasn't all bad (and Phone Scoop is on top of things! Phone comes out Sunday> Phone Scoop gets a video review out in two days, thanks!) but I would still be worried about battery. And being it is $30.00 cheaper than the Rumor, I could use my $7.00 insurance to get it. What dose everyone think about it?
Got this Phone Today
Received this phone at my store. Its a slick looking phone. The only real negative about it is that it uses the same jack for both the headphones and the charger. So you cant charge it and listen to music. Its dissapointing because that should have been an improvement over the Upstage and I believe the M510 as well.
As long as it has better luck than other Sprint sliders before(LG 325, Samsung A800), it should be fine. Great Price too. $99.99 with activation and I assume a MIR somewhere there too. 😁

Dummy Model ordered
I work at a cell phone kiosk for Sprint, Alltel and T-Mobile.
We're getting a dummy model in two days here, so I assume it's landed for Sprint. I bet the deal is still a little under the hood, but I can confirm it.
I dunno if I'm old news or not, but yeah.
Anyone know how long the Qwest exclusivity lasts?
I head that they have a time-exclusive on it before it goes to Sprint. How the hell did they manage that? LOL! 🤣
