UMA on 6086

Something that everyone seems to be overlooking is that the 6086 adds UMA. As far as I'm aware, T-Mobile is the only company currently in advanced stages of testing this new technology in the USA.

Chances of T-Mobile getting the 6086 in the next several months? Thoughts?

Keyguard question

Can you lock the side buttons from being used? On my current phone, I use a keyguard when it's in my pocket. I'm wondering because I don't want the side buttons activating anything while the phone is in my pocket!

why?

i understand replacing the 6103 with T-mobile but when it boils down to it cingular carries the 2610 for entry level 🙄
the 6126 for mid levelcustomers 🙂
the N75 that will be a high end 3g music experiance 🤤
and the e62 for business customes... 😕
so why would cingular need another mid level phone?

Anybody using 6085 w/ Cingular (AT&T)?

I am hoping somebody is using an unlocked 6085 on Cingular (AT&T) and can describe their experiences.

I think this phone is roughly the same size as the 6126 or 6102i? But with better battery life than 6126 (I know screen is suppose to be better on 6126).

I mainly am concerned with battery, reception, and do a litte internet browsing (weather, stock, some news). Currently have Razr V3 and want to move back to Nokia, but am tired of waiting for the N75 so trying to find a solid cheaper Nokia.

Nokia "delay" disease?

I've been following the discussion thread for the N75 (quite interesting). I was wondering if anyone thought the 6085 would be subject to the same delays.

There's lots of reasoning for the delay of the N75. I'm not sure if it all makes sense, but I do know that SOMETHING has to be amiss because this phone is "late" being released.

I don't know the timeline for the 6085.

Can anyone put a date on "soon" for this phone?

Wishful thinking...

very interested!...release date?

I am a true Nokia user. I currently have the 3220. The phone is relatively old, but does the job in the reception department.

For me, a phone has to be a PHONE first. I have no use for phones that don't have good reception.

This phone would be a definite step up for me because of the new options (e.g., microSD card, multiple sound file formats, etc.).

Has anyone heard about a release date for this one? I've given up on the N75.
