I am trying to transfer MP3s and Pictures from my Macbook. What do I need to do to be successful. Any help is great. Thanks.

my last phone - free at the time - sprint doesn't even carry it anymore-haven't in the last few years - had up to 10 minutes of voice memos that you could record during the calls. 10 memos, each 1 minute. this phone, the M1, seems to have hundreds of hours or voice memo time available, but only 72 seconds to record calls? Anyway i can expand that? 👀 that was one of the reasons i bought this phone-i need to record a good amount of calls for business, so i am disappointed big time. any way to change that or have any ideas what i'm doing wrong? thanks guys

Hi, i just received my M1-great phone, but i don't plan on getting power vision all the time. once in a while, maybe, but one of the reasons i got it, besides great price, quality and reviews, was the mass storage.
I go to play music from the outside mp3, it connects to vision; insides, i choose another option, it starts to connect. what do i do to make it stop connecting so i won't get charged (1), and (2), how to i play music, watch videos, etc from the outside by using what i have in the phone from the computer?

Are the stereo speakers loud if i use max volume. I have'nt tried it becuase I have music that's low in volume, though the rings are loud. Does it feel like the stereo speakers bust when listenig to music in high (max) volume.

I've put music in the phone using the USB cable (File Manager through Mass Storage, Media folder). There is another separate Media folder in the Media Player. How do I get the external controls to play music? How am I able to play more than one song at a time?

Ok, usually I am really good with figuring out cell phones, but I have a problem.

I downloaded Mp3's from the computer using the Mass Storage of course, but unlike my Samsung A-940 every time a song ends, I have to open the Phone (Sanyo M1) and pick the next song I want to play. Is there a way to have the songs go from one to the next, without having to keep opening the phone every time a song ends???? Gets kinda irritating doing that..

I'm fairly intelligent, but can't seem to get my music files to play. I transfered them directly from my itunes collection on my external hard-drive. They appear listed in Tools/File Manager/Music. However, when I press Options, the only choices that appear are Move, Erase, Sort by, Properties, and Rename. The Move option will only allow me to move it to a different File Manager category. They do not go to the Media Player.

Do I have to burn these files onto a CD and transfer them through the Windows Media program as other people have been successful with? I was hoping to drag and copy them from the iTunes collection straight to the phone.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Is this normal or is this a bug or is it my phone. When you leave there alone (usually in an hour) external light turns on and the service light flashes 2 times. It turns off normally like it would when you press a button.
Anyone having this wierd problem.

the top part is severely loose right out of the box and the buttons feel ceap...way over priced 🙄

Can I transfer mp3s from my computer to the phone? or do I have to purchase music from the Sprint store? Also what is the battery time for listening to music?

I'd like to maintain a some simple web pages on my PC that I could place on my phone and reference when I'm away from home. It would consist of a list of items and part numbers and possibly photos; simple html stuff. I could publish the html to a www host and get to the info that way but I'd like to just store the files on the phone and reference them with the built in browser. Does anyone know how I can reference memory locations on the phone from the browser?

Does anyone know of a comprehensive software package available for the M1? I have looked at FutureDial SnapSync which provieds no support for M1 (yet?); MobileAction's bluetooth suite provides basic file management (that's pretty much native anyway) and DataPilot's product which provides contact management sync with Outlook. DataPilot is as close as I've come but I'd like integrated image and music management also.

Is there a limit to how many characters you can include in a text message? I have an old LG and can only send/receive 160 characters and I'm SO TIRED of it.

Another quick question: Does the phone lag at all when going through contacts or typing a message? My phone is always two steps behind my fingers. It's annoying.

Thanks for any info I am looking to buy the phone as soon as I work out some of these questions.

do you guys know if this phone has a status light?? it seems to only come on during a call or when at a text message comes in. Is there any way to program it to have a steady status light blinking? even when the phone is not in use..just on stand by.

There has been some rumblings of this phone having a small keypad and being to small, is this true?

is it just me or do you guys have the same problem...whenever i recieve a text message it displays the persons phone number instead of their name. I have them saved in my contacts but how do i change it to show the name instead of the number?

I am very impressed with the features that this phone offers, but I am not a fan of its design. This phone is function, not form. It seems to me like another ugly RAZR clone with better features. This is just like a moped. Fun to use until your friends see you using it.

YOU know what this phone would have been really really great device if it only had a memory card slot... it looks THICK but i don't know i haven't seen it so... but i'll take Samsung M610 over this thing... looks funky~ not bad not bad
