Finally - a No-Camera Version

I just noticed on Gizmodo's web site there will be a no-camera version of the 750 - It's about time. These smart phones seem to be pointed toward business. My company, like many others, do not allow cameras of any kind on the premises.

Blackberry 8700/8800 vs. Treo 750

Any thoughts from the experts on which to choose for a first-time smart phone customer? I want to use Cingular as my carrier, although that T-Mobile Dash looks and feels great. I unfortunately do not know anyone in my world who uses T-Mobile, while many I know use Cingular. Thanks for the help, I need to make a decision on this soon.

Interesting

I just got the new cingular rebates and the 750 is on there. It may be closer to release than we all thought.

Kinda disapointing to hear it will be delayed, but at least we won't be getting our hopes up. And besides, the 8525 is almost out. πŸ™‚

Blackberry connect

I just installed blackberry connect on my 750v and I am on the T-Mobile network. Work great and withing about 20 minutes, I was receiving email just like my old 8700. Email is the weak point for the 750v and this just improved a whole lot.

I will write a review in a week or two after I get used to using this new phone.

FCC Link Broken

Clicking on the FCC link in the specifications does not bring up the FCC's record.

but will this REALLY work on cingular networks?

Ok, but does UMTS 1900 mean it will work on US networks TODAY? I just bought a euro 3G phone (primarily for use in Japan) that uses UMTS 2100 only... needless to say I was a little disappointed.

gzone

I found this for the Japanese market, can't read it but it seem they have a digital compass. Great if you are mountain biking, like what the phone can do. Be Tough. Does anyone know if it's only for this newer version or was it ever on the previous version like the one coming to the US market?
thanks
