This is the worst phone with the most horrible software ever. I had to for a few days, and walked, no RAN back to the cingular store to get my blackjack back... Why ANYONE likes it is beyond me...

ok so i just got my blackberry pearl through cingular...

it has been very confusing for me to use so far...

so here are my questions:

1) how do i access the internet? (i see know browser on my pearl)

2) how do i delete my text messages. i dont know why i cant clear my inbox folder or anything.

3)RINGTONES i have a memory card and everything and cant seem to access my music. so i deleted all my songs off my memory card and now the blackberry device manager says i have less space then i really have (since i deleted all my songs) and i am not able to transfer songs through media manager. any tips would help. thank you in advance

I am thinking of switching from Verizon to Cingular in order to get either the BB Curve or Pearl. My concern is downgrading from the 3g speed to the slower Edge speed. I use the web browsing a lot so my question is...how much slower is the edge vs. 3g (evdo)? Is it a deal breaker?

Can anybody help me how i can copy the address book to my sim card, i know how to copy from sim to phone memory and couldt figure out how to copy from phone to sim,,,,Please help,,,

Anyone know about a hack that will enable video record on the pearl? i heard something, and of course first i said that was BS, but i read something about Rim releasing some codes so it would be possible. im not really into writing software, so does anyone know if this kind of thing would actually be possible or if it has been done?

☹️ ...on aim i have like over 100 buddys...on my buddylist on aim. and when i sign on aim on my blackberry pearl . it only show 30 of my buddys, is there anything i can do from my phone or on da computer. or something? please

I am wondering if it is possible to have an inbox/folder for just texts and mms messages. I currently only show a folder for e-mail and a folder for all messages. Tends to be difficult to get to my texts sometimes. Any knowledge would be great.

Hello out there-can any "Sprint Insiders" out there tell me if this is TRULY coming to Sprint, and if so, when??? I know the 8830 is coming, but I really don't care for it (size).

Are the maps actually on the device memory or do u have to get them from the internet as you use them. in other words can u use the maps w/out using internet? Thanks!

i can't seem to figure out which of the settings in the profiles is to be used to set a tone for when you get a voicemail. there are so many different things to change, and i have not figured it out yet using trial and error.

Have anyone ran into the problem where you are trying to view a video from You Tube website and the error "the file size of the video is to large to view" displays .. this error is giving me headaches and i don't know how to solve this issue. I should be able to see videos from this phone. If anyone knows how to solve this prblem please let me know.

I have a smiley face notification on my pearl where the normal e-mail or text message notifications are. It looks like this: 🤣 with a 1 next to it and a little orange splotch just above the face. Anyone know what this is? I want it gone. I cannot find it in the manual or anywhere. help please.

has anyone noticed the voice dial doesnt work as well on these blackberries? is there anyway to have it adjust to your voice of the way you talk.

Anyone know if this'll take a 4GB Micro SD card? All info that i've been able to find out is 2GB.

I dont know if any of you have any info on this, but i was wondering if its possible for someone to produce a hack that enables the blackberry pearl to capture video. i know its a long shot but, a man can dream right? another on i was hoping to find is a quick hack that rotates pictures from the camera automatically, so when you take a picture using the pearl sideways like a camera, it would automatically rotate from landscape to portrait. thanks for any replys.

My Pearl seems to sync just fine for new imcoming mail. When I read it (opened) it syncs and reflects on my Outlook, via Exchange obviously. But when I read/open new mail on my Outlook, the Pearl does not sync my mail as opened/read on the phone itself. Am I missing a detail in my email setup so that it syncs both ways?

I see this issue with my POP3 mail of my cox email account as well. I always get new email to my Pearl, but all email I read or delete (On Email and Handheld) on the Pearl never reflects on my Cox email account. I will log onto my Cox account and I have a ton of email that is 'new' and never been erased.

Any clues, ideas, suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading...
