Blackberry with wifi?

So, having recently obtained a Nokia 6682, I've discovered the joy of mobile data functions (browsing, moblogging, etc). And recently, I was playing around with a 7290 here (I work for Cingular), and I really like it! The 6682 is pretty nice (great camera, rugged, good RF), but it definitely has it's limitations (I don't like the UI as much as the BB, and the lack of a full QWERTY is limiting). I'm really digging the Blackberry for lots of mobile functions, but I don't like having the phone on all the time, and I'm around wifi networks often, does anyone know if a BB with wifi is in the works?

The GSM 7130 will have EDGE... That comes out this summer. The 8700 has EDGE too, though.

Yeah, but I just prefer wifi - I have to laugh at my current career choice because I HATE talking on the phone ( 😕 ) & would prefer to email people. With wifi, I could leave the phone off and/or not have to bother with a data plan from Cingular... but depending on how addicted I get, I may not have a choice.

If you're only looking to have email capabilities and no phone, you're better off with a Palm or Windows based PDA.

However, your question was about Blackberry.
There is a WiFi Blackberry out now, not easily available though. It's the 7270 and you can see the specs on blackberry.com

Also, Blackberry is on the UMA bandwagon which might mean we'll be seeing Blackberry units that will work on cell service and WiFi in the hopefully near future.
