Blackberry Pearl Question

How come I can connect my Blackberry Pearl to my Motorola Krzr via bluetooth, but cannot transfer photos or sounds to my blackberry from my krzr? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help!

as far as I know you can only transfer files via Bluetooth from BB to BB, not BB to anyother type of phone

Also it the krzr is Verizon its a no go.
