Has anyone been able to make this software recognize a phone? I have a T616 and a DCU-11
data cable. The communications suite instals, and I am able to successfully tether to my laptop. The mobile internet connection software recognizes that there is a phone connected, so the cable is obviously working. The software won't let me enable any of the COM ports. It won't let me configure any of the settings for outlook, or for the phone. The company who wrote the software charges 19.95 per incident for tech support, or you can subscribe for 100.00/year. Sony Ericcson says refer to your user guide.
*yanks out hair*
Anyone else have any suggestions? I run XP on a Hewlett Packard ZT1170.
Thanks,
~A

I tried to use that program with my t68i long ago and it never really worked right.

My friends and I have been working on an alternative that sends contacts to your phone over the air. No cables or software to install. It works with most sony ericsson and nokia phones and is currently free while we test it out. Feel free to contact me if you run into any problems with it as I'd be happy to help.

Thanks Christian,
I tried your website, but then it occured to me that I can send my contacts directly from outlook. If you could find a way to have more than one contact sent at once, I would pay for it. :0) Also, if you could find a way to sync the calender over the air, I would definately pay for that!

Xtnd COnnect PC is a joke. They just want you to buy the full version, pay 19.95 per incident, or 99.99 for a year's subscription. There needs to be some freeware that does this with full functionality. Or even something with free support.

Yeah, xtnd is just misery.

To send more than one contact to your phone at a time, try the following at Vazu Contacts:
- go into you profile on vazu
- at the bottom choose "Send all contacts at once"

At that point, the pacing gets turned off and we just send them all to you.

Important: be prepared to accept the contacts on your phone immediately. the reason why we were only serving them to you one at a time was because if a sony ericsson phone is waiting for you to say yes or no on one vcard, it converts all the other ones that come in as SMSs.

As forr calendar syncing, it's coming.

If you have any questions, let me know.

This software SUCKS!

i had a Nokia 6610 earlier and I could edit the entire phone book on my PC - change names, set speed dials and everything.

But with the SE - I have to rely on the phone all the way - its not too bad but not as easy!

Thank god they at least did the phone in a somewhat good manner!

Also i was using IR and it just wouldn't recognize the damn phone! Somehow managed to make it recognize once - I don't know how - and got all my contacts from outlook onto the phone. but cant do it again!

SE - Are YOU GUYS LISTENING?????????????
