Treo650 for Verizon Wireless
I have a Treo650 with VZW. I can take photos and videos. I can email the photos from the phone but I have to use MMS which VZW charges me to use. Oh, I forgot to mention that I pay VZW $45.00 a month for unlimited data plan so I can use the phone to access the web and process email. Now you would think the $45.00 was enough for VZW but as I mentioned in order to send photos I have to use MMS and pay additional fees. MMS and SMS do not support video so I have no option for sending my videos from my Treo650. According to Palm’s customer service, VZW has locked out my option to attach files to my emails. I could send photos and videos to whomever I wish if I could attach the files to emails but VZW has locked that feature. Palm says the...

I fully agree with your frustration.
VZW has a strong network, that works fine for basic voice service (i.e. most people) . But they're going to charge an arm & leg for extra services such as data, pics, ringtones, Bluetooth, etc...
It would seem that competitors would have easy pickings taking subs away if they only improved their networks to match 'the most reliable network'.

I have had the same problems, especially opening up emails with attachments or getting a link to a website and was told the same thing as you. Did you overcome your issue and how?

Use VersaMail and it will allow you to attach files and send them. In order to share them with other VZW users on their cell phones I am forced to use MMS.

I hate that i can't send video messages w/o the hassle, but i can pic messages with ease. Other than that, I still like the phone (keep in mind, it's only been 1 week and 1/2).
