yeah i called motorola to find if and when they would be available for purchase and was asked " where did you find out about this" and was put on a endless hold that i did not wait around for. kind of weird, but i don't know if was asking are more about the v1000.... shh! that really get them worked up. if your tired of all the silver phones wait for this one and you will see what a cell phone looks like when it's in a tuxedo!

This phone was supposedly launched specifically for Korea because of their fascination with the original startacs. The old startacs apparently fetch a pretty good price in auctions in Korea due to nostalgia.
Not a lot of high end features on the phone (as you can see there is no camera). It is meant to be simple (aside from the 262K color display) and true to the old startac form factor.

THERE ARE SEVERAL PHONES WHICH ARE DEVELOPED FOR MARKETS SUCH AS EUROPE OR ASIA. BUT SO FAR, THE LATEST STARTAC SERIES PHONE, THE TIMEPORT SERIES, WAS DISCONTINUED IN 2001.
AFTER THAT PHONE, THE V60 SERIES WAS DESIGNED FOR REPLACING THE TIMEPORT SERIES.
