MOTOROKR Z6 technical questions (Linux and stuff)
Hello people,
I'm totally new to this forum so bear with me. 🙂 I'm also not really fit with current mobile phone technology. 😕
So, I need a new phone (my current one is a T68i, yeah I know 🤠).
I've got a few technical questions:
1) Ring tones: Do I get to put an mp3 from my PC on the phone and use it directly as a ring tone? What does "72 chords" mean exactly? I mean, I play guitar 😉, but that only seems to add to the confusion. What does it mean when my mobile newspaper lists "48 chords"?
2) Linux-related: The review I've read says that you can use this phone as an external disk "thanks to the included software". Now, it's important that I can use it without this software (like a USB stick), or els...

I do not have the Z6, however I have the Z9 and V9 and many of the traits are shared.
1) From my current AT&T branded devices I have found that self made MP3 Ringtones are limited in size near 300k. Not sure why that is..the K1 was unlimited. To do this I use Sony Vegas (over kill I know) and just chop them down, select my bitrate and then copy to the phone and use.
2) On the other moto GSM phones there is a sub-menu in the connections menu. It is USB Connection and you can select the mood of the phone when you plug it in USB. There are four options: One of which is Memory Card. Memory card puts the phone into USB Stick mode and is nothing more than a reader for your MicroSD card...
