Motorola

i had my phone in my belt case, fell on it, and it damaged the outer display, and thus caused the inner display to malfunction. i ordered a replacement on eBay, put it in, but now nothing comes on the screen. any suggestions or should i just send it to Motorola to have it repaired (unfortunately, it's outta warranty).

any suggestions what i could have done wrong?
