Dammit, I just got the word from Radio Shack that LG scrapped the whole release of the 8100 and probably won't even produce it. This SUCKS!!!

Looks that way. The lady mentioned what the replacement would be but I didn't write them down.

geeezzzz, don't believe everything you read on the internet. And people wonder why we don't announce the EXACT day that a phone will be released, this is why!

I don't know how true this info is and I would doubt Verizon would embark on an expensive deployment only to junk the whole thing. However I can tell you that I just tried to order the phone through 611 (Im in Los Angeles) and the rep told me the launch date is not until tomorrow and that his computer is showing -0- zero phones in the warehouse. I asked how there could be no phones if the launch date isn;t until tomorrow- of course no intelligent answer đŸ˜ŗ . He also said the price was $199 and Verizon is giving $50.00 off and then the $50.00 rebate 😁 .
So here we all are; still in the dark, without an upgrade and no promise of a straight answer.
We'll all live I suppose- take care all!!! 😉

The 8000 is the one being discontinued. The 8100 is replacing it. That would make no sense to make one shipment if the phone and then discontinue it.
