I heard a rumor on some site that there was a new Blackberry Pearl - 2 coming soon with some nice improvements from the current model?

Anybody hear anything about it? Is it true. I just happen to love the Pearl for size, weight, functionality compared to it's larger siblings.

The spec's on the Pearl 2 say that it will have a 3.5 head phone jack. That being said, a user could/would have music stored on the phone. Is there a way to plug this or any other Blackberry into a car or stereo's input like you would an Ipod?

Does anyone know if there are plans for a Verizon Curve?

I have been using BlackBerry phones for a number of years through my company and so have many of my coworkers. I have personally used models from the 7250 through the 8700 and others in my company have used the 8130 (I don't know if the 1 is correct in the model number but the rest are correct), Pearl, and 8800. Since the Curve has a camera we are not permitted in my company to use this phone.

Anyway, I have never had the Bluetooth feature in the phone work successfully for long and all of my coworkers have issues with Bluetooth and their BlackBerry phones. The same Bluetooth devices work with other cell phones and are listed to work with the Class of Bluetooth that RIM and their Blackberry phones support. Does anyone else have an iss...

I am interested in getting my first blackberry, but I want to get one that is unlocked/unbranded because the carriers wipe all the good stuff off...

Any ideas on where to buy online for the best value (least expensive / most reliable) ? I'm not an idiot, I know it's gonna cost a lot lol I just don't want to go the ebay route and get screwed!

Does anyone know where I might be able to download some of the Sounds/Alerts/Ringtones that come pre-loaded on the BlackBerry's? I used to have a BB but know I'm using a different phone but I miss some of my old sounds. Any idea where I might be able to find some of those preloaded Sounds/Alerts/Ringtones?

I am contemplating switching from Nokia E62 to Curve. I've got several questions I was hoping curve owners can answer.

Will the curve sync w/ my pc outlook contacts and calendar items using the usb data cable?

Can I sync pc outlook contact and calendar items wirelessly to curve w/o a data plan?

Do calendar items including additional text for that entry x-fer over completely?

I have already gone online using my 8830 tethered via usb, however, I was wondering if I can tether it via bluetooth so I dont have to have the cable everytime I want to go online. Is this possible? If so how? I already tried several ways. (yes my laptop has bluetooth)

How can I get a folder with that only has my text messages in it? I tried "separate" but it does not create a folder for text messages.

The messages folder has both text and email and my email accts have unique folders...

Any ideas? The 8830 on Verizon works but my Curve does not.

I just traded my Palm Treo for a Blackberry 8703.

On my Treo I could record my own ringtone. For example, speak into the mic,"Bob, your phone is ringing" or "Just record some silly sound I pick out on my own."

Can I do the same thing with my blackberry? I can't find that option.

I have a bluetooth GPS unit that I want to use with my Pearl. The problem is that the bluetooth password for the unit is an alpha string - whereas the pearl only allows numbers to be input as a bluetooth password.

I have seen workarounds for other devices like ipaqs.

Is anyone aware of a workaround for the pearl?

I have been using my 8700 for about 18 months now and really count on the emails in my business. Suddenly one of my contact's emails come through with just the subject and no text in the body. When I check my office computer the entire message is there. He doesn't know of any changes to his phone and I have not changed anything. All my other messages I receive are normal. Can anyone help me figure out what could cause this?

Just got a new Pearl and I'm trying to transfer my Outlook contacts into the phone. I have approx 125 contacts and the first 41 transferred fine. Then for some reason Intellisync stopped and gave me the error message "Unable to write or update application data". I deleted the transferred contacts to do it over again and it stops at the same spot. I checked the phone memory and it says i have 9,752,668 Bytes of memory (9 mb's, correct?). I tried to see if the contacts were bad and it stops at one particular contact but no luck finding anything wrong w/ them. I even tried deleting the contact it stops at but no luck. Several more attempts at deleting the transferred stuff and it still stops at 41 contacts.
