It is my understanding that the cell phone manufacturer LG actually owns a CDMA network in a foregin country Is this true? If so Any idea where I can info. regarding this? I have searched the www.lgmobilephones.com and am unable to find any info. regarding this. I realize this is not the proper forum for this question but I really did not want it going unnoticed in the Lg forum.

Can anyone tell me how to set the mp3's or wav files (I can convert these to mp3's) in the "my sounds" folder as ringtones? I can't find anyway to do this.

everytime i write a new text message, the text input mode changes back to "abc" although i always change it back to "word" (pred. text). why doesn't the phone stay on the "word" setting? am i missing something in the menus to permanantly change this txt messaging option?

Anyone know when we think we can see the update for reading text messages on the front screen? I want to be one of the first for this update!! 😳

A LG rep I called to ask about how to clear java on a LG CU500 stated this, and is a direct quote.

me- "How do you clear the Java on a LG CU500."

rep- " Well sir I don't know anything about that phone it is out of my expertise"

me- "Well sir can you transfer me to someone who would be more familiar with it?"

rep- "Well sir we just make the phones and we do not know anything about how to operate them"

me- "If you don't mind me asking then why is your department called LG cellular support?"

rep- "You have a nice day sir." -dissconnected

Maybe not the smartest thing to be telling a rep who sells your product....

Just had the speakerphone update performed on my new Chocolate phone, but they didn't show me how to use it. Can't find anything in the Tools/Settings menu. Please help!!!!!

I already have the 9800 and I must say I love this phone. I am a major texter & this phone can actually keep up with me. I hope this is a line of phones that LG decides to keep putting out. I don't even like regular clamshell & sliders design phone; and just to say it I HATE THE SIDEKICK EVEN MORE. If Verizon would offer plans to better those put up up Sprint_Tel they would be the #1 provider instead of #2. I have been waiting on the successor for the 9800 for a while now. Does anyone know when we will be able to get cold-hard facts.

right now i have the 9800 and i am soo ready to getta new phone i hav had it scince last october and i want to get a new phone this week, but i do think the 9900 is gunna b good so i was just woundering what would b better... i kno that the 9900 is supposed to b coming out sooon but how soon is soon?? lol im inpacient

I live in MI and it seems that everyone has a CU500 except in MI. And it's not even displayed at cingular.com. What gives?

I am having several problems with my cell phone. It's a LG VX3300 from Verizon.

I got a LG VX3200 for free for renewing my contract in October 2004. That phone lasted until the late summer of 2005, when I started to have a lot of dropped calls and high minutes and bills.

The phone was replaced with a refurbed VX300 in October 2005 after a little haggling with Customer Service, but alot of haggling over my bill.

That phone worked OK until December 2005 when the phone started dropping calls alot and my bills in Dec2005-Feb2006 were outrageously high. The phone was replaced with yet another VX3300 in February 2006, and it took about 3 months of constant hassling with Customer and Financial Services to get my bill reduced.

There was some stuff last month & a lot of it said the phone would be out on the 4th. Its not here yet; so I guess we wait on the second date now, which is the 24th. Has anyone or any other sites found anything pertaining to this miracle ??

I desperately need someones help... I know how to send files to myself once a have saved them, but I can't seem to get them in the right format or something when I save... I am right clicking saving target as and then the files aren't working.HELP!!
